- RyanI get a call from them a day. It leaves a message but it is not for me. When I answer it there is a recording that tells me to call them. I am very unhappy about this.
- Katie| 2 repliesI received a call from this company, which is a debt collector. The bad thing you should all probably know, though, is if they have your name, they probably have your social security number. If not, I would call the number back and ask. My situation had to do with Wells Fargo Bank, who we will never bank with again. That bank would give money to Al-Quadia; they cannot trace back if someone takes money out of your account. I would find out and then contact the Social Security Administration and file a complaint. There is no reason that these places have to give out Social Security numbers. I am going to file a complaint to get mine removed, as I did pay the debt back. Also, Wells Fargo is big enough that they could have their own collection department, they just do not want to deal with the legal issues of not being in accordance with the law so they find an agency who will do their dirty work for them. We had our account number changed 3 times with Wells Fargo and they still let people take out money that were not authorized.

Then call it back I had a bill with Wells Fargo when I paid it the calls stopped. It is that simple just get the reference number and call it back that is the key quit letting it call you you need to call it back...

- BeraWe got a call from them this evening; I suspect they are picking up where Premiere Credit left off, that is there is some sort of scam list. I have bank accounts with Wells Fargo, but they are in good standing and I have had them for over 7 years.

- Collector| 1 replyHaving done business with WFB in the past as a collector these calls are not FRAUD. The do in fact collect for WFB and you need to call them in order to see what account it is in regards to.
The reason WFB may not find the account once it has been charged off is that local branches do not have access to the WFB Recoveries database.
I just googled them and low and behold they have a (800) number if it makes it easier for you. 1-800-211-1435 most agencies will use a reference number this is just to help them find your account. If you do not have one they can usually pull accounts by phone (they already have it), address on account, SSN, co-maker.
REMEMBER THEY ALREADY HAVE ALL OF THIS IF THEY ARE ASKING FOR YOU!!!
Do not think by not giving it to them you are going to help the phone calls.
Good Luck, we have all been there. Some of us just want to get out and back on top sooner than others.- Caller: States Recovery Systems, Inc

- Brandon Ghetia| 3 repliesIt sure sounds like Terry Grillo works for them, or is a 7 year old playing on his parents computer...what does this guy think he is...? Some kind of double agent? If you owe a debt, call back and pay it. It will cost you more headache and money in the long run if you try to avoid it.
...and Terry Grillo, buy for Formula Phonics books please.- Call type: Debt collector
- SomewhereI received a call From "States Recovery System" they didn't leave a voice message.
I have NEVER had an account with Wells Fargo. I've been with the same Bank for decades.
What's up with someone calling you and leaving you a number to call back? Screw that. If someone wants to talk to me they can call and talk to me, I would never do business over the phone anyways, it's just a BAD IDEA.- Caller: 916-631-7085
- esmThey keep calling and leave a message saing they are looking for my dad. But tats it, and when we call back mo one answers.
- Mean Gene| 1 replyMy wife got a call from 1-916-631-7085. Guy called, said it was important for my wife to call him back. He didn't say what the call was about or anything, so we googled this number and found this site.
I do believe this agency, States recovery is most probably connected to Wells Fargo, it is a becoming a common demoninator. We had some issues on our account with Wells Fargo and just allowed them to close our account. Immediately thereafter, the phones call started, beginning this evening.
I called the number back and it claimed to be States Recovery but no one answered.- Caller: States Recovery

- Ignacio replies to Gayle| 1 replyTen year old debt--barred by statute of limitations. Contact CA AG Consumer Complaint Hotline on the CA AG homepage
- Me| 5 repliesWell since my tax dollar bailed them out, we can just call it even!
Close the books boys, cuz $25 billion is all you're getting from me. - Kei| 1 replyI believe it is connected with Wells Fargo, for I had an issue with them to. Each time this number calls, the same automated message is left- and even if I answer, I get a voicemail asking me to call back. I refuse to call back an agency that wants -me- to pay them. These collection agencies should really work on their customer service. I don't plan on calling them back, period.
- Not as smart as you replies to TERRY GRILLO| 1 replyYour spelliing and grammar is bad. You must work for them, I don't have any outstanding debts and the collecting agency don't get it when I tell them t get their facts straight and stop bothering me.
