- LML| 3 repliesThis number called our business phone today at 1302 hours. The guy asked for the boss by first name. (I guess I'm supposed to assume by this that they're buddies. Riiiight.) I informed the caller that the boss doesn't work in the office, that he works on the road, and asked if I could help. He identified his company as "Prestige" and asked if I was involved in making business decisions. I told him I was. He then started his spiel about how he can save us on credit card processing charges. I've heard this claim from every merchant services company that floats down the pike and told him this, adding that, if everyone was speaking truthfully that they can save us more money than the other company, then processors would be PAYING US to accept credit cards. I told him I wasn't interested and not to call again. We do our best to discourage credit cards so I can't be bothered with empty promises.

- pc boston916-661-6200 prestige pay... Just the fact that these so called card processing cos have several names should
tip off everyone that it's not a way to do business. I know that a lot of individuals and small business use checks
and CASH only. No one trusts these card companies let alone these processing cos. But I am sure some will
follow-up trying to save 40- cents per month.- Caller: prestige payments or whatever?

- LMLThese people called our business again at 1058 hours today. Caller ID said "Prestige Payments." This time it was a woman who called and, again, asked for the boss by first name because, again, I guess I was supposed to think they're buddies. When told the boss works on the road, she asked to speak with the person who handles credit card processing. Impatiently I told her that I told them before to stop calling. She said, "Okay. Have a good day." She didn't sound enthused about my lack of enthusiasm.

- LMLThese persistent, annoying people called our business yet again today. As before, they asked for the boss by first name. When told (as I've told them before) that the boss doesn't work in the office, that he works on the road, she then asked if there were any other owners she can speak with. I told her, "This is a tiny corporation." "Oh, okay!" she chirps cheerfully then thanked me and disconnected. Huh? I don't expect that to be the end of their calls as I have explicitly told them in the past to stop calling but they continue to persist doing so, apparently thinking maybe we have had brain damage in the meantime. As someone else pointed out, this company is one of many names, some of those names being notorious for bad service, overcharging, etc., etc., etc. Next time they call, I think I'll just lift up the receiver slightly and then immediately replace it. I've been doing that with a different scammer/spammer and their calls have finally started to decrease.

- IPPrestige Payments haven't been calling more than enough times.
I told them to stop calling, remove my business number.
Why can't the government do something about it by themselves?
I think we need DO NOT E-MAIL / SPAM registries also.
Then, Government needs to fine these callers/spammers for every call or email they make/send unauthorized without checking the DO NOT CALL, DO NOT E-MAIL registries.
it will make the government to reduce much of the deficit.- Caller: Prestige Payments

- Joe MamaGot a call from Prestige Payments 916-661-6200, woman on the line asked if we were X business, getting our name wrong (as have many other scammers in the past) so I truthfully told them that's not us and she hung up.

- not my real nameThey called me 6 times. If they want me to process credit cards, they have to pay my sign up fee for providing my service.
My sign up fee for providing such a service is $400,000.00. None of them were interested in letting me provide the service.
I wonder why. It's not like I'm going to cheat them. - jemAnd it continues.....I disconnect call after first ring.

- LMLThese annoyingly persistent anal sphincters called out company today at 1133 hours. I'm tired of telling these idiots to stop calling because they're too stupid to get a clue so I lifted the receiver just enough to connect and then put it right back down again. I will continue summarily hanging up on these spammers every time. How many times do you have to tell them "not interested, stop calling" before it penetrates the rocks they carry for heads??!

- Annette Zrihen replies to LMLThe guy who called was named Anthony. Asked the same questions. I kept asking who are you and then he hung up,
- JADThanks for all the good info. Why is it the NSA can sweep all our phone records and not identify, track, and arrest these guys and their ilk? Perhaps our congressman need to hear that!
