I received a robo call for credit repair.  After receiving the first call, I hung up and called them back.  A recorded message answered the phone.  I immediately pressed 1 and was transferred to a "representative".  I could hear that she was at a call center when she answered.  I informed the "representative" to remove my telephone number immediately.  She stated she would.  I also informed her that robocalls were against the law and that I was reporting her company to the FCC.  She responded, "Yeah...good luck with that!".  She had an American tone to her voice.  However, the telephone number is registered to a private individual and the phone number is spoofed.

When will these low-lifes get a REAL job and stop trying to scam hard working people out of their money?  This is becoming a severe problem in today's society.

Just received a call from this number.  I have no idea why they called.  I just called them back using my work phone.  Some credit repair place.

Just got a call from 916-680-6117 on my cell phone and ignored it.  No message left.  I hate telemarketers!  I guess that makes me a telemarketerphobe!

Lower interest rates.  I'm expecting an important call from a CA hospital so I answered.  I'm on do not call registry but need to be available for medical emergencies.
Blocked number.

Received multiple blank voicemails on my phone from this number so I dialed back hoping that I didn't miss an important business call.  This number is to a "credit repair hotline" but the representative refused to name a specific company.  I asked to be removed from their call list.  I was not removed.  More calls, more voicemails.  Today I decided to turn the tables and called incessantly phishing for their information to report to the FTC. I reported them to the FTC.  Hopefully they will investigate and hopefully people are not desperate enough to give their information to just anyone over the phone.  Good luck guys and stay far away from these scammers.

Just got a robo call from this number it was already talking when I answered and all I heard was "we are licensed if you'er not interested press 2 to remove your number"  I don't expect that works, I blocked the number.

Rcvd call today from this # saying its the IRS. I called the # they left on message and got a call center.  They asked my name and number and I hung up.

I live in GA so super suspicious when non GA #s call me. Probably telemarketer or scammer.

I agree, I just got a call from the same number and didn't answer it.  I'm just going to block it so they'll have to call from another number if they try again.

The DNC List is a joke. You have to make logs of the numbers, when they call so on and so on. You will have better luck making a contact under DNA (Do Not Answer) with a silent ring tone. Then as they call add the new phone numbers to that existing DNA contact log. When they call after that you don't know unless you have your phone in your hand and see your phone light up. This also creates the log the DNC group wants you to make when you contact their office. I  rarely get a voice mail left from any of the numbers. These people don't care. They kept calling me while I was going thru chemo therapy after my cancer surgery.
If you still believe in Sanra Clause and the Easter Bunny then you have a chance the DNC list will work.

For several years, not once did anyone but the people I know called my cellphone. Now that I have given institutions like my bank, utility companies, doctors office, prospective employers, etc., my cell as a contact number, I get annoyance calls weekly.  I don't blame the telemarketer, they have bills to pay, also. I blame the douches who gave out my #.

Considering that the telemarketer is making the call and probably violating the law, then full blame should be on them.  You have no evidence that these places have given your number out.  While it is possible, it is also possible that with more and more calls being made and robo dialers being used that you are simply receiving more calls because of that.

Actually the DNC does work, but it is meant as a guide for law-abiding telemarketers only.  It will not stop determined scofflaws and criminals.  Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pikc up on call numbers you do not recognize.

This is a scam.  I called it back and the recording says they can help you repair your credit.
