- Nicki| 3 repliesThe phone # belongs to Global Travel Network. You probably entered a drawing. I entered a drawing at the golf expo and actually won a free trip to Maui, air included. 4 nights 5 days... Answer the call.......
- Caller: Global Travel Network
- Slim replies to NickiThat company seems to be involved with several activities, including:
1. Timeshares ... in which there were some ... interesting ... promises.
2. "Free" trips ... that are not really free, once the "taxes" and "Fees" and "other charges" are revealed.
Their BBB accreditation was revoked
From the BBB site:
Factors that lowered Global Travel Network's rating include:
* Business has failed to resolve underlying cause(s) of a pattern of complaints.
* BBB Accreditation was revoked because the business failed to honor its accreditation agreement with BBB.
I found (866) and (801) phone numbers for them, but did not find a (916) phone number.
That is particularly interesting, since Global Travel Network HQ is located in Salt Lake City, UT, and (916) is a California area code. - MarcyPlease stop calling my number: 541-254-0848

- B| 1 replyI had a missed call from that number and then a voicemail. A man named John left a message saying I won something from the sacramento ISE (sportsman expo). Once I called back he asked for my name and my spouses and said I had won a luxury trip to either Mexico or Hawaii. He then asked how old I was , I said 27 and my wife is 25. That got me disqualified from the trip because he said the age group was for 28-69! Kind of weird it was one year older than what I am right now. Not sure if they are legit trips or somewhat of scams
- BrandonGot a call following the winter wonderland target signup from this global travel network company. We never win anything so I'm always skeptical when people call trying to scam. Voicemail they left talked about a free trip and to me, nothing is truly free so I don't buy their arguments. I asked that if it is truly free, they pass it along to someone else on the list and the guy laughed. They are not BBB accredited and that should tell you something.

- Mark S.| 1 replyEntered a home depot raffle at a rivercats game, get misleading calls from these scammers. They keep congratulating me by voicemail, but say nothing about what was won. I took the advice of another user here on 800notes, and saved the number under a contact called SPAM. That way I never wonder if its a legit call or not.
Pretty disappointed in the Rivercats for letting this shady stuff happen at their games. The raffle was for something like 500 bucks, and they probably got thousands of dollars worth of contact information from people for it. Sweet deal for them, screw the fans.- Caller: 'awards department responsible for a drawing at the rivercats game' - Darrion

- Mrs GReceived a call from this # saying I won a free trip by entering a drawing at el dorado county fair... When "verifying" info for qualification they wanted to confirm my household income the gave me range when I stated it wasn't the info it disqualifyed me from winning.... I believe scammers as the income bracket was the next one up from us and I know I entered the correct one

- H. replies to BMe too except I filled my info at Eldorado county fair for Home Depot :/
- Rivercats Sold my Info too! replies to Mark S.Same thing happened to me. Had my son's bday party with MANY of his friends at a RiverCats game and to find out my information was scammed in front of their gates, is very disappointing. I spent many hundreds of dollars for that party... I'm now questioning returning to the stadium. Shady business practices.
- Den.Went to a river cats game about 2 months ago and entered a home Depot free raffle. Yesterday got a voice mail saying I won something big. Voice mail was from James at ext. 313. I did not call back after reading previous comments. Did the River cats sell my raffle to a third party?? If so, what a scam and very dissapointed.
