AT&T caller I'D, but he says he's from Microsoft, with the tired old fix your computer scam.

Caller claimed to be from the Microsoft call center.  He said they are receiving messages that my PC is carrying a virus and is spamming my associates.  I asked which computer to which he responded, "all of your computers." He then instructed me to turn on my computer so he could see what the problem was.  Obviously this was a scam.  I asked to speak to his supervisor.  He waited a few seconds then deepened his heavily accented voice and proceeded to tell me that he was the senior supervisor.  These people must think we are stupid.  I told him I had the police on the line and he hung up.  I am so tired of this ridiculous scam.  What happened to registering your number on the Do Not Call Registry?  Is that another scam?  It doesn't appear to work!
