I keep on getting these calls and when I answer they keep quiet and then hang up.  I try calling the number back and its always busy.  I want these calls to stop wasting my time.

I answered just now asked if I can take a message, they said it was regarding a personal matter.

I just received a call from this number. When I answered, he asked to talk to me. I said speaking. He kept asking if it was trully me. I said yes. When I asked for his name he pretended he couldn't hear me. I hang up and called back. The number is always busy. Who is this guy?

Calls doesn't say anything!! I called back and got hung up on.

i've also been getting mulitple calls from this number, never any msgs left, but they call anytime between 5 am and 11 pm and it's really starting to tick me off...

Just got called five times today and I called back just now a few times over the span of 30 minutes but always busy.

There used to be a scam like this when I lived in Japan such that if you called the number back you were charged money just like for those Sex chat lines. Don't call back!

916-855-8735 is from Lexus Financial. seemd like my payment was lost in the mail and they called to remind me they ahve not received the payment.
i got a call from them 6 times in last 1 Hour so i finanlly picked up.
i was assume it was an automated dialer system to reach out and when they pick up, the info of the client would pop up on the customer service's screen.

John, yes, you may be right as I am a few days late in my payment so that makes sense. But I just made a payment today by phone and the person I spoke with does not know the number.

I keep getting calls with no messages and when I call back there is no answer. Is this a collection agency?

I received the call today... Reading the other posts on here, suggests that my Toyota Finacial Services account is late.  Many call centers will call for multiple finance companies for "pre-collections".  You might not be in "collections" yet, but could be getting close.  Plus, watch your credit report, it might be getting dinged.

Don't try calling this number back, it is an outbound call center, instead call the finance company for your auto loans (or other loans you may have).  I have worked in Automotive Finance and Collections... My statements are only educated guesses... Good luck, and Take Care...

I wonder if its a collection company contracted by Toyota. But I have gotten calls from 4 different numbers from Toyota today!

This number will call all day long from 8am to 9pm. Left a message to call back at 800-279-9032 it is Toyota.

I got a call from this number today on my cell, no message. I don't have a Toyota or a car note.

I've received a fairly significant amount of random calls from numbers that have very similar responses that you guys have posted.  This is some type of scam, so don't answer and don't call back.

I'm going to try and figure out a way to report it and suggest you all do the same.

these people are calling my cell number.  It is a company phone that I have had for over a year and they ask for the last guy who had it.  I tell them everytime he has not been here for over a year and even offer his new number, but they hang up on me.  From now on I am using a boat horn in the phone, if they go deaf so be it they think its the other guy anyway!!! ha ha
