Got a call from movie producers calling to advertise their new movie, The Velveteen Rabbit.  Obviously a small studio, but seems to be effective because I plan to watch for it at my local theater.

This call was from a very polite guy.  Said they were movie producers calling to advertise a new movie,  Velveteen Rabbit.  Quick and not annoying.

A guy called about a movie and kept saying this is not a sales call.  I was skeptical so I hung up.  He called my cell phone and I didn't want to use my minutes on a sales call!

File a complaint against this company with the FCC. They can sue them and collect big fines.

DO NOT buy anything from them, see anything they make, etc.  Put these gutter rats out of business.  The best bet is to not answer a call when you do not recognize the number of it has an anonymous caller ID.  You can also get a phone whose ringer you can turn off and have everything go to voice mail.

If this is a movie promo then this is about the movie it purports to be about:

They called me and I answered with my company/name and then they hung up.
Didn't hear a word!

I would really like to know how these people are getting my cell phone number! I won't answer the phone when they call. I don't really want long distance calls on my phone, not to mention I'm sick of ads in my face everywhere I go. That said, I'm not going to answer my phone just so I can listen to... another ad!

I haven't given my cell number out in over 10 years, so imagine my surprise when I heard an automated solicited message!  I can only guess the company utilizes an automated dialer that never stops dialing every possible series of numbers.  I'm reporting them to the AG and FTC.

Call from 917-210-4609 found in missed calls file 2-9-09. Number is unknown i understand it is promoting a movie.Please discontinue.

To my cell phone. I missed the call, thankfully. No message left.

My cell phone rang and as soon as I picked up, whoever called hung up.

i got this call from across the  country, but i never answered it, and it was on my cell.

This number called my mobile and I answered and he wanted 30 seconds to tell me he was not selling anything but wanted to give me free tickets via text message or email to a movie called "Velveteen Rabbit" but I told him I didn't watch movies and wasn't interested.  He continued to go on again about how I would like the movie and I said sorry, not interested, good bye and hung up.  If he calls again, I will just put a block on his number but I doubt I hear from him again.  He was polite, just didn't seem to understand the words "not interested" very well.  Poor guy probably gets a .25 commission for every ticket he can give away, times are tough.

John called stated he was not a salesman but a movie producer and wanted 30 seconds of my time.  Said no thank you and hung up.  He cont. to talk as I clicked my phone shut.  Called on cell phone at 11:05 am.

The same guy called me last night. After telling him "no thank you" to about 3-4 different offers, he said "Ok, I'll go ahead and send you that information". He hung up on me as I was saying "No" AGAIN! He obviously doesn't listen/care about who he's talking to. I am filing a complaint against this number.

Telemarketer - unsolicited.  I DO NOT want advertising or questionaire calls - EVER - especially on MY cell phone minutes!

"Hi this is John, I just want to tell you about a great new movie coming out, this is not a sales call..."
Maybe not but it's still annoying!

just got a call from this # too...didnt answer or leave a voicemail, but this is all kinda weird...

Got a call from this number at 1255 pm. Answered the phone and the first thing the guy said is this isn't a sales call. I hung up on him as he was talking. Don't know how they got my cell number as I do not give it out.
