The phone number 566-674-0000 came to Kansas  on 3-18-2015 at 09:25 CDT. The area code is "Personal Communications Services. The code was put in place on 4-17-2012, and allows calls to be routed overseas. Caller Id said: "SAC Services". See this entry for details.

In the above call, the recorded voice advised that the IRS is suing me, and for details, call 917-267-7760. The area code is New York City, and of course being a 900 series, it's a "you pay" number. It's a fraud call. At this time, All the media outlets are warning against IRS fake calls.

I got A call from: 289-672-0000 from Ontario Canada on 3/18/2015

The area code is New York City.  THIS IS NOT REALLY THE IRS , THEY WOULD NOT CONTACT YOU WITHOUT GIVING YOU INFORMATION ON WHO THE CALL WAS FOR & Would probably send you  A certified letter anyway.

This number is a scam if you call it you get a person with an indian accent. Do not respond.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Received the same recording giving the number and telling about the IRS lawsuit and I need to call the 917-267-7760.  Appeared on my phone as an unknown number.  Unfortunately some cell calls from people we know show up the same way which is why I answered the call.

Got a VM from a Michigan number - VM was recorded robot message saying this was final notice that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me and left this number to call back. SCAM!!

I received the same call.  The call came across my phone as (738)494-2327 telling me a lawsuit was being filed against me by the IRS.  The message advised to call (917) 267-7760 immediately.   It was an automated message with a female voice.

I just got the call also . Didn't answer it . It said unavailable on caller I'd  but left the same number to call , because I'm getting sued by irs.

Received a phone message on my voicemail from (917) 267-7760 saying that the IRS was suing us and to call immediately.  A scary phone call, but with no supporting paperwork having been mailed from the IRS, nor any reason for the IRS to contact us, and knowing that  917 is most often a cell phone area code in that area (I'm from NY originally) it pretty much pointed towards FRAUD!!!
