Male with Indian accent. States his name is: Dave Swagger and that he's calling from US Treasury. He mentions a Grand Jury and to contact Federal Criminal Office and that's important for the recipient to respond back immediately. I called the number back and asked him the name of the company I was calling. He asked if this was the recipient. I said "No! Never heard of such a name!" He hung up!

Rcd a call from someone stating they were Alex Fergeson and they were calling from the US treasury.  He said it was important that we call back.  Did not call back because within 30 minutes received another call from a different phone number 760 890-7642 with the same message and they left the same message with in one phone call.  Nothing but a Scam.

Middle-Eastern Thick Accent He asked me if I was... and if my phone number was ... I did not verify who I was, instead I started to ask him questions. I kept asking him what this phone call was regarding and refused to give him any names.  He put me on hold for a couple of minutes, comes back and says if this is not... I cannot help you. I said, so if I live in the same house as the phone number you are calling, you're not able to provide me any information? At that point be began throwing slurs at me. Going so far as to call me a transsexual and a [***]. He continued on about how ha can't believe that the U.S. allows to men....yada, yada, yada. I found to great resources to look the dude up....

Called saying we owed $4000 in back taxes for years I did not work or file taxes. Said I was going to jail in the next hour. Leins would be put on everything we own Blah blah blah!! SCAM!!!

This idiot called and said he was with the us dept  of treasury and someone was filing a suit against us and of course when i ask him questions he tried to avoid them... What a scam!

They need to be put in jail

Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Man calls me multiple times and another man as well claiming I owe back taxes for years 09-10 and claims there has been a warrant issued for my arrest and that I would be in jail within a hour because I have Not paid them but yet I always have H&R block do my taxes and have for many years. They are calling all times of the day and night claiming to be from the I.R.S AS WELL. THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED PERIOD.IT IS UNJUST AND IS CRIMINALY WRONG AND ILLEGAL.

Recieved call from this number claiming they were U.S. Marshals.  I  immediately questioned the caller from this number and they hung up.  Less than 30 seconds later they called me back, swearing at me.  BEWARE.  THESE ARE OVERSEAS CRIMINALS!!!

My wife got a call from the US Treatsure Dept of Legal Affiars stated it was James Carter calling about a "Legal Matter" and they wanted to talk to me. I called back from my work phone today and they (said it was his supervisor) really wanted to talk to my wife. I should have looked the phone number up before calling them back.  I guess they wanted home numbers and not work numbers.

I received a voicemail and the caller stated that his name was Jack Marshall.  He had an accent and stated in the message that the IRS had filed legal proceedings against me and it would be bound to the grand jury.  The caller yawned during the voicemail and never apologized, which I thought was very unprofessional and raised a red flag to me.  However, I did call back and he indicated that I owned back taxes for over 4 yrs and that i was facing 6 months of jail time.  I was kinda skeptical,  but I cried and so badly and he told me that I needed to bring in $1000 today but he couldn't guarantee it would take off my warrant.  So after crying more he told me that he would talk to his superior and placed me on hold.  He came back and said that he got my payment dropped to $1200 and that I needed to pay $100 a month.  When I asked him why my taxes where not garnished if I owned the IRS and I told him that I had recently been in the IRS and asked him why no one ever told me this information, had no answer for this and  basically told me I needed to listen to what he was saying and provided me no answers.  I was so scared but also skeptical so I  finally decided to Google 917-310-0792, and was instantly relieved!
