917-310-1313

This number is given in a recording pretending to be the IRS saying they're suing you. I blocked my number and called it. It was a recording of obscenities, maybe because my number was blocked. I assume they don't go to the trouble just to cuss at you. It's probably a phishing scam.

IRS website warns of this scam.  They threaten you with handcuffing you, putting liens on your house, garnishing your bank account, etc.  Then tell you that you can clear it up with a full payment of your outstanding balance.  It's a SCAM!

IRS doesn't call you to to tell you they are suing you
They don't need to sue you to get money, they just file lien on your accounts, your pay, your property, etc.
To stop them, it is you would would have file in tax court.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

frustrate them,  get their fax number and send them images of the money they request

i received this phone saying I am being sued

7am this morning, recorded message saying it the IRS, legal action pending...

This recorded call came to my land line and was answered by my 92 year old mother.  She nearly had a heart attach from worry until she learned it was a scam call.

why don't the feds  go after these scammers ?

Got a call from a private caller. it was a recorded message saying the IRS was filing a law suit. And to call 917-3101313. when I did the first time they hung up on me the second time I called the person could barely speak English and wanted my number. I told them I would get back to them. it is a scam.

Got the same call just now and instead of calling the number typed it into my computer and got this thread. My call came from a NEW YORK number: 631-363-9897 with the recorded message asking me to call the 917 number. If you get a call from New York at the 631 number above--don't answer it's a scam.

I just got this same call, a recorded message from a dignified-sounding woman informing me that I'm being sued by the IRS and asking me to call 917-310-1313 to resolve the issue. Our caller ID said "unknown name" but the call came from 630-529-5537. That area code is in Illinois.
