I recieved a call from 917-775-5246, claiming that he was a federal lawyer and that i owe money to USA Cash Advance, after reading me the "affidavit" of my charges (which was the EXACT same word for word from the one i recieved on 6/8 by a different number and different debt i "owe") I asked him to provide the date that the loan was taken out. He said that i am the only one that knew that information and that if I didnt pay them in the next 45 minutes he would have the Sheriff at my door to arrest me. I advised him that he could go ahead and send the sheriff and I would add this number and recording to my already filed complaint. I called my local poliece department and they advised that since the information has not been used yet my identity has not been stolen and there was nothing that they could do. (load of crap) but whatever, I will be following up with the Texas Attorney General's office in the morning. (I called the number they left on my voicemail and they said it was a Magic Jack account)
I have also placed a fraud alert on all 3 credit bureaus and closed my bank account. I would advise all others that recieve a call from one of these guys or anyone with a similar story to do the same.

they just called us and the guy told me to shut my fing mouth

These guys called my hubby today at work, and I think they were the same ones I told off this morning when they called our house at 5:30 and 7:30 am... Hubby said they had an affidavit against him in New York, for money laundering... what a bunch of bull! Hubby gave me the number they used, so I called it and they have changed it to: 276-775-5246  I want to know who do I report this harassment to, there's got to be a way to stop these irritating calls!

They keep calling my cell phone and my work phone. I do not know what to do, they wont leave me alone.

1st caller english was so horrible hard to understand then a guy ( Micheal Sinclair ) called and told that if I didn"t send $636 for an outstanding debit with a cash advance payday loans that he was going to call and have the law come and take me to the court and also call my place of employment ; when asked for proof of legit he said i'll show you legit proof when the law comes and pick you up. He was very threatening also his supposely boss Brian from the legal department got on the phone. This morning when talking with a payday loan person about the conversation I was told that was not how they went about trying to collect any missed payments.

this gentleman he call me , saying that they was a law suit against me when , i asks him to send me proof, i am still waiting , he has call me from at 786 a 508 nummber plus a few  more,     This has been going on for 2 months.  tomorrow i am filing a complaint with the att, generals office,

Caller: I am calling for leagal department for criminal case against you. Me: about what? Caller: You have not repaid your loan to usa loans, you can repay now or go downtown for 7 days. Me: Is this a new scam or have you actually had people fall for this? Caller: If you think this is a scam sir I will send the sherriffs to your house! Me: No need for that, how do I pay? Caller: Get a green dot card from Walmart and scratch the back, then I will forward the numbers to the legal department. Me: OK but, i live like 20 minutes form walmart, are you going to wait on the phone? Caller: Yes sir that is ok, this is my job. (I go to the the door tell him I am going now open then close the door) 10 minutes later. Me: How much is it? Caller: $485.26. Me: Crap, I have to go to the ATM. It will be like another 10 minutes. Caller: OK sir. (20 minutes later) Me: Are you still there? Caller: Yes sir. Me: I scratched the back but it has letters, not numbers. Caller: You scratched the wrong part. Me: No, it's the only part to scratch. Just try them maybe it's a new kind of card. ( I "read" him the letters) Caller hold for my manager please. Manager: Hello? Me: Can you write this down so I don't have to keep repeating it? The letters are GO_FU_CK_YO_UR_SE_LF. Manager: Are you serious? Me: Yes go [***] yourself. The only way to get them to stop is to waste time they could be using to call someone who might actually fall for this.

That's hysterical -- well at least that was over a half an hour that they weren't scamming someone else :-)

am getting these calls also never say anything maybe2-3 times in a hour very annoying

got a call from this number ..so called "UNITED CASH ADVANCE"....say i need to send them money or the sheriff would be coming...would not send proof of the matter...

Then it's a SCAM, ignore the calls.

Received a harrassing phone call from the phone number 917-775-5246 and did not identify who they were just that they I should get a lawyer because I owe somone money.  He gave me the above number as a Hotline to his division - never gave a name of a company or anything just that i better call back and if I don't  he wished me good luck.

They called me and left a message and told me to call the second I received the message and that if I did not he wishes me luck as all of this mess comes down on me. What the heck!!!!!! Don't they know that when they call we just don't take them serious anymore, I mean come on how many times do we have to watch this happen. The man sounded very threatening on the phone I was happy to see that others are able to warn us about this caller on this website.

I have also received several calls from this number. Last week they called me threatening to send the sherrif to arrest me. I was so scared I called a lawyer and he told me they can not arrest me. They can serve me with a Subpena to appear at court. He said if they do, then to give him a call. Don't worry about them calling. Just ignore their calls.

They just called my cell and work, these idiots don't realize that people are catching on to their scam. They said the same thing, they are calling on behalf of Cash Advance regarding unpaid loans.. Ha ha ha.. I have no loan's... Apperantly when you apply for a Online PayDay Loan when you submit your information they have the right to sale your info to 3rd parties.. It's funny when I asked for his IRS number called me a hoar and hung up..

I got a call today at work , same threats,  hours to send the money, if not the Sheriff would be picking me up  Foreign voice, screaming at me t listen to him, told him I never got any money in my account was calling banik to verify.  As I expected no money was put into the account the bank said that had heard about this from severa people and to not pay one cent.  I am going to the Police inform them of the call, just to protect myself, as welll if this person "Jason"  call again I am inforiming him that I will be contacting the Attorney General and any other authority of the phone number and your name.  
I am a senior citizen and let him know that you are upsetting me and that he should listen to me andnot interrup me while I am talking.
He did give one day to send the $700.00, once they determined it was fraud they would put my money back in the bank.  That amount will not be sent, if I could sue them for the stress it has caused I certainly would.  Be careful out there,

This "Kevin Smith" person with the east Indian accent isn't even remotely convincing. I called back and told said idiot to stop calling me. Then I hung up on him.

I too have been receiving calls from this number and when I call back an answering machine picks up stating "all customer service reps are busy...and to leave voicemail..." I hung up and not more than 2 minutes passed and someone called me back from this number looking for an indiviual that I do not know. Ugh! I too plan to report this number to my Attorney General.

This number has called my job 1st asking for me and the next time asking for someone else.  The person calling was a Jennifer.  I figured it was bs but thought I'd call back to see what they were trying to pull.  A Jessical answered the phone like she was home...just hello, no business identification or anything.  She said she is calling from the law offices of James W Winslow and I asked where they were from she said New York.  I told someone had called for me and for another person but I couldn't understand the name and she said no that she had called for me and then I told her again that Jennifer called then she said "oh" well that is my assistant (which I doubt, they probably used different names).  I told her I was not aware of any debt then she said she would put their legal assistant on the phone, a male voice then came on the line asking how I was doing but I just told him to just tell me what they were calling about because they were calling a business.  He asked if I remember taking out a payday loan with some company and their accent is so heavy I couldn't understand the name.  I told him no and that he would need to send me some documents (he sounded like he was raising his voice) but I kept talking and told him because I would need to turn them over to our attorney and also that I googled their number and it seems it is coming up as a scam and with many complaints....my phone went silent...they had hung up.  I'm not sure at what point but I'll do the same thing if they call again.
