    <the above is the exact text message I rec'd. I when I called the 917-470-9346 number (to further investigate...I knew this was A SCAM, as I am not a HSBC customer and the auto-voice sounded totally bogus), I was told my debit card was being "locked" and was asked to enter the 16-digit acct number. THIS IS A SCAM.  Hope this message can save other folks from identity theft.

    My number (not this one) was just used for this SCAM and I did not make ANY of the phone calls.
    Reporting the numbers is FUTILE.
    it's the SCAMMER who used a callblock to protect the actual number.
