- Anonymous| 1 replyI knew that this was a scam, even before I responded to the message from Peter Meyers, which I received on my home telephone earlier today. I wondered why there was a 9l7 call-back number, and the red flag went up right away. And, when the man answered when I called back, there was no company name given, nor did he give his name; most unprofessional; again, those red flags went up instantly. When I pressed for more information (name of the company, location, what this call was all about, where did this person get my name from, why am I calling back to a 917 number, and not a main switchboard of a legitimate company????, et al), the man (all of a sudden) began to quickly talk over me, trying not to directly answer any of my questions; instead, he gave me a real bs, [***]-and-bull story (or so it appeared to me, and I am sure that I am correct in my assumptions here) about some sort of a Mega-Millions prize from a Lottery Drawing and that I had won the grand prize! Wow, I said to myself, "if this story doesn't smell like a scam, I don't know what does"! When I immediately let this man know that my son is an Attorney, he became nasty and hung up on me. I am writing this report, in order to let anyone out there who receives the same type of call from this man, to not even think for one moment/waste your valuable time to call back. THIS IS A BIG SCAM!!!!! I feel very sorry for any poor unfortunate who is stupid or gullible enough to believe anything that comes out of this man's mouth! SOMEONE NEEDS TO STING THESE PEOPLE AND SHUT THEM DOWN IMMEDIATELY!!!!

- anonymousI received a call this morning from a Peter Myers stated I was a second place winner of 1.5 million dollars and of course I thought it was a scam. They assured me it wasn't a scam. I told them I couldn't pay any money and if this wasn't a scam that they could just get me the money and I would pay them there $575.00 out of my winnings. They went as far as to have them CEO call me. I called Bank of America because there name was on the welcome letter. The CEO said that he would pay off my credit card with another bank, that all I had to do is call my credit card company and give them the information from the Sun trust bank. Talk about Scam. I called sun trust and my credit card number and of course this is all BS. To bad I could have really used 1.5 million. but after the rain forest taxes of 30% are taken out it is only about 1 million and lets not forget the 10,000 gift money from GMC.

- AnonymousI got a call from Bryan Murphy stating I had won a 1.5 million Mega Millions Giveaway from 917-965-8699. I return the call and a Peter Myers answers requesting that I pay a insurance fee of $575.00 dollars. I knew it was a scam, I told him I never knew of any one paying to recieved won they won, he also told me that the office was located at 1 Federal Plaza, New York, NY 10278 and that Peter Myer was the CEO, each time I call the the above phone number Peter Myer answered the phone, When does a CEO sit by a phone. Peter Myer also sent me and email with a cashier's check with my name on it. Mention the gift was the courtesy of GMC and the jackpot for the amount of $10.500,00 was shared among the forty-two national winners. I not sure what can be done to stop these people and I hope people will continue to search the low lifes down this will close the scam.

- sandiI just received a call from this number say I won 1.5 mil. He couldn't tell me exactly how I had won which instant alerts went off for me. I had 2 options either I Cld pay 500+ in taxes and fees or fly to California. I said ok lets fly to Californiaand he asked earlier if I wanted it to be public or private. I said public, he didn't seem tolike that response. But told me cameras wld b waiting at the locationand said it wld b cheaper if I just paid the taxes because the limo service was really expensive. I said its ok. My brother is in the naval base there and Cld pick me up. He said I had to take limo so it would b better to just pay taxes now. I told him I had to talk to my husband and I wld call back. I got online and made sure it was a scam and reported it.I guess if it legit and I lost 1.5 mil , I didn't have any money to begin with so o guess not out anything lol
- AnonymousI received a call today from this number, a Marcus Desir, claiming that I won 1.5 mil. This was not the first time I received this call. I explained that if he was expecting me to pay any monies out of pocket to claim this prize he could just end the call. He insisted on explaining the options which were, to arrange for a flight to New York. I had to call him back with the flight information. He told me the company was based in New York at 1 Federal Plaza. When I questioned where he got my information from and I told him I could drive to 1 Federal Plaza, since I live in New York he then changed the location to Los Angeles, Ca. Then he said I needed to purchase a Green Money Pack Card for $575.00. He claimed this money was needed for verification insurance required by the IRS.....When I insisted I had no money to pay he asked if I could borrow it or put it on a credit card. REALLY?
This is totally ridiculous... I tried hanging up but can you believe he called me back! I told him I would be speaking to my husband with the information he gave me. The company name he used was On Claims Department Co. and the call back numbers were 917-231-1972 or 1800-951-9372. It's funny how all of these calls are giving the same call back numbers.
Definitely a Scam!- Caller: On Claims Department Company
- Retired but Still Thinking| 1 replyMy phone call was from Marcus Desire also, from New York. The usual scam - so apparent. Wanted money upfront. Told him I would purchase my plane ticket and call him right back. Hope he is holding his breath! He works for the Unclaims Department at 1 Federal Plaza in New York. If found he should be arrested for fraud and misrepresentation. If you are reading this, then you were not fooled either. Congrats! Have a great day.

- Herb replies to AnonymousI was just called by the same person... He said his name is peter James Myers... Company name is Unclaims dept . Co. 1 Federal plaza NYC.. This Knucklehead wanted me to hop on a plane and be picked up by his limo to bring me to NYC... I explained that I live 45min. driving distance form NYC so all of that is unnecessary... He said because of policy I have to hop on a plane....I already knew it was BS...So I called him back and told him I have family members in NYC. I'm going to send them there to see if this is legit So, he said, let me know when they get there... Then he said we don't do business with family members... So I said, I'm going to send them to the office and this better be legit and hung up. 1 Federal plaza is a Govt building. Too good to be true!!! Theses people have balls!!! They messed with the wrong person... LOL
- same as abovei received a call from 917-460-3698 stating that I won 1.6 million from the same company that is listed in the above statements:

- DavidI'm really fuming, because I wasn't the one who got the call -- my 92 y/o grandmother was, and this all threw her for a loop. She's ready to buy us all houses, and we've had to convince her that it's likely a scam.
We keep stringing these [***] along, and they keep pushing this so-called 'deadline' ahead day after day.
By the dates on messages above, these [***] have been doing this for 3-4 years!
I'm waiting patiently for their next call; I'm gonna' break their balls.- Caller: Unclaimed Department, 1 Federal Plaza, Sweepstakes something-something...
- Gjeh| 1 replymy mom is called by Peter Meyers almost every day. He puts money on her credit card & has her send him a money gram for that same amount. Mama is 79. I have the name of the woman she mailed the money gram to in Kingston, Jamaica. Probably a fake name & has a fake ID to cash it. I do not see the point in Peter Meyers putting money on my mom's $300.00 limit credit card -- unless He can get more money in Jamaican money from the US money gram. Makes no sense. I'm turning in all info I have to any place that I can find. It's a horrible scam & she just better not give out her checking acct info. There is a US Embassy in Jamaica. I'm reporting there also & have no clue if they can do a thing about a Jamaican citizen ( although he may not even be Jamaican). I doubt he's even Peter Meyers.

- Slim replies to Gjeh>> I do not see the point in Peter Meyers putting money on my mom's $300.00 limit credit card <<
1. Please check her card. There is no additional money there.
2. You may have to convince your mom that it is a scam. If she does not believe you, and continues to send him money, you may want to assume control of her finances.
