Caller ID said Vertrans Assn and the number.

When I picked up it was dead air.

When I called the number back it did not ring.

I think it is a random caller to harvest numbers for soliciting.

Be very careful and check them out before you give up your hard earned money.

Same think happened to me just now.  I bet it was green country veterans association.

Rec'd call 8:17 pm nov 12 2015. Caller ID "Veterans Association". I am a veteran so I assumed is someone I need to spk with. Said "hello" and man came on ph and said my first name said is calling from the Green Country Veterans asso Claremore, OK and calling for donations to help veterans. Can I pay $400. I said send me info in the mail. He said $200, then $100. I askd again for mailer. He said something I didnt understand and he hung up.

This number is being used by a group called Green Country Veterans Association who are riding on our name we established with lots of hard work over many years. DO NOT get this name mixed up with A REAL VETERANS HELP ORGANIZATION CALLED - AMERICAN OKLAHOMA VETERANS of GREEN COUNTRY - Web: aovg.org American Oklahoma Veterans of Green Country have suffered financially for the last few years because of the misrepresentation of Green Country Veterans Assn. by implying they are us when they call our Oklahoma Neighbors for donations. REMEMBER THE AMERICAN OKLAHOMA VETERANS of GREEN COUNTRY is truly helping Oklahoma Veterans in need in so many ways. I personally know of many Veterans actually receiving much needed assistance from AMERICAN OKLAHOMA VETERANS of GREEN COUNTRY. This fine group can only provide these services with support from people like us. So please don't let this stop you from helping! From those being served they Thank You!

If you don't know who called, how do you know "it's a SCAMMER"? It could have simply been a wrong number.
