just received call from -918-807-6698 Bristow ok. called back recording says to call back on number you were called from.
its fake.. blocked it wont answer again.

Received a call from this number, 918-807-6698, Bristow, OK.  They didn't leave a voice mail message.  When you call the number back, you receive a message that says to call from the number, in which, you were called from.

Got called from this number, soliciting money for Oklahoma highway patrol.

Missed a call from this number. Called from my home phone beginning w/*67,got answer saying "In order to help you,please call back from the phone you originally got a call from,...thanks for your posts...Ill definitely block this,thanks again

I too got a call from this number last night. I didn't answer it.

Caller didn't leave a voice mail. I assume it is another scam artist. I received the call on 4 Feb

Don't know why this number came up on the ID, but he identified himself as part of the TSTA soliciting a donation.

Got a call about an hour ago stating they were raising money for Oklahoma Highway Patrol. SCAM!!!

I got a call from these guys, they said a donation would help the Wyoming state patrol. When i said i would pay with card the guy told me he would send me to the credit card processor. Pretty sure he handed the phone to the guy next to him, Thats when i told them i wouldn't pay with card only check or money order. They had me promise 3 times that i would pay $75 via check when they send me a sticker and information in the mail. Beginning sounded real, the end sounded like a scam. I hope it was real, the highway patrol does so much for us, but in my gut i feel like it was a scam!

It is real sir I work for the company and the organization you helped with was the American Association of State Troopers . I personally apologize about the commitment part . I am one of the supervisors for Statewide Appeal Inc. we do the fundraising efforts for the A.A.S.T. and truly appreciate  your support for the membered officers programs .

As telemarketing calls multiplied exponentially over the next decade, Copilevitz's firm worked to make sure the calling continued unfettered.

In 1994, he knocked down a Georgia law designed to stop charities from using a law enforcement agency's name, without permission, to drum up donations.

Three years later, Copilevitz stopped Louisiana from limiting how many police organizations could solicit in the state.

Copilevitz won both cases on behalf of the American Association of State Troopers, which went on to raise tens of millions of dollars.

The state list of police groups using telemarketing shows about 20 law enforcement associations currently registered to conduct telephone solicitations. They have hired telemarketing firms headquartered both in Texas and across the U.S. Several of those firms did not return phone calls.

It is not fake it is a fundraiser for law enforcement .
