When I get such a call I do not answer.  If it's important they wll leave a message or call back.  Also when I receive and unwanted call from a fund raiser/etc,  I will save the number to my phone as a "Contact" with the name as "Fund Raiser/Survey Do Not Answer".   This work very well especially if your phone will announce the call vocally.

I just received this call and it just played music and hung up...

Please do not call this number again. Only number shows on phone.I don't like to be bothered by unknown callers.

If this is the American Diabetes Association, why would I want to contribute to such an organization if they call and hang up.  Then, I tried calling the number, and then it was a busy signal.
American Diabetes Association, you have lost any support I might have given.

Call comes from North Carolina.  They are selling in home medical stuff.

received call from this number....same number calls everyday & does not leave a message.  My answering machine actually says, "if you are a phone solicitor, please do not call back."  I would definitely not give them a dime due to their disrespect & obnoxiousness.

From Dunham NC  1-919-316-2601  Called twice today.  First time just music, second time no response.  Computer call?  I am on the national do not call list.  Does this violate those restrictions?

I got a call from 919-316-2601  just a slam hang up in my face...I am COMPLETELY fed up with these numbers...they are soliciters that I have found a loop hole in the national do not call list...I sure wish I could find the company name to call and tell them what I think about em!

I get calls from this number every day.  I do not answer; they do not leave message.

ID shows only phone number, no name.  They left nothing on the recorder.  I will add them to my wonderful panasonic blocked call feature .... much better than a "no call list" because I can include political calls.

Answered the call but did not say hello; the caller asked for me by name so I then started talking.  He asked if anyone at this number has diabetes.  I said: "knock on wood, no", then he said: "that's a good thing".  He then politely wished for me to have a good day.  I then could not find anything about the number on yellowpages.com.  I then searched on the number and came up with this forum.  The comments folks have posted made me feel better.  My main concern was that the call was one of those I have heard about that originate from the Caribbean that can cause exorbitant phone rates to be charged.

They don't ID themselves, but that's ok. I'm on the FEDERAL DO NOT CALL LIST and now...so are THEY (Just for different reasons...they're REPORTED AS IN VIOLATION!!!) Thankfully, tough no-holds-barred regulations will soon put an end to UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANIES like this one! woot-woot!!!
