I received a call from this number. Come to find out they are RCS. RCS collects for St. Armands group. Watch yourself and check with your state to find out if they are legal to do business in your state. Pay day loan companies have to be licensed to do business, I found that they are not legal to do business in mine by DFI, Department of Revenue or Secretary of State. Do your research before you offer to give them anything, especially if you have already paid this debt and they are attempting to collect again.

They called me yesterday (3/27/13) and asked for me.  I asked who was called and she just stated 'Ms. Janette'.  So I said I wasn't available, can I take a message.  She responded with a phone number and extension and said I had til 4pm Eastern Time (on 3/27) to return a call otherwise they'll issue a summons.  Can they state that to someone other than me over the phone??

No. It would be unlawful for them to state that to a third party. It is also illegal to make such a statement if it is not in fact the truth. Call your local clerk of court and inquire as to whether any paperwork regarding you has been filed. Odds are, they've never heard of you or them.
These people are outright frauds or they are 3rd party collectors engaged in illegal practices. Educate yourself as to your rights under the FDCPA.

Our Circuit Clerks office has an online database updated twice a day.  Anything civil or criminal that goes through their office is put up on the site (with next court date, summons/warrants served, etc).  My name doesn't come up for anything.  Must have been BS, especially since they thought I was a third party taking a message and still stated 'if he doesn't call back by 4pm eastern time we'll have a summons issued'

Good job! The line they're using is older than "white dog-s**t." But the innocent and naive still fall for it occasionally. That's why alot of us here prey on the frauds as much as they try to prey on their victims.

I just received a call from this number. I told the woman that it was the wrong number and to remove me from the list. She replied, "I will not remove this number, because I don't believe anything you say!" WTH? Now she immediately called with another #.

I recieved a call from this number stating that I needed to contact them about a time senitive matter. The man stated he was Mr Ewing with RCS Inc. and was doing an investigation on a file related to "NAME of Ex HUSBAND". They said I needed to call them immediately. I called and was put to a voicemail box so I hung up. The person they stated has not been a part of my life for the past 8 years. They have not attempted to contact me again.

I received a call from this number he said his name was David Clay and he was from First Bank of Delaware which of course there is no bank of Delaware any more it was closed and all loan where transfer. Also he told me if I did not pay right now I would go to jail. I called the company that took over the loans for the bank of Delaware and they told me ( do not pay anyone but them and if it was not on your credit report do not worry about it.) I almost fell for it. I can not believe I was almost so stupid. Knows he keeps calling me. Even call me on unavailable line. What gets me is they say they do not have my address when they had it on the origial loan. This is a fraud here is another number 855-837-9962 extension 432. DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY

Definitely do not take any crap from these folks - probably subcontractors for this RCS as they will not give out their address or fax number so you can send the proper documentation for the FDCPA - Companies and/or individuals such as this may be the fourth or fifth purchasers of old or settled debt and figure if they can collect even pennies on the dollar then their harassing and threatening tactics pay off - Record all conversations with them if possible.  They are not legit. Period

This is the contact info for this entity - as noted these types of companies/individuals often change names when their harassing tactics land them on the wrong side of the law. DO NOT BE FOOLED - A legitimate company will have no problem giving you their contact information or sending out the documentation you request.  A William Scudder is named by the BBB as the 'owner,' but it is highly unlikely that this is 1. either the person's real name or 2. or an actual person.

'Bill' purported to be manager - Possibly the 'William Scudder' mentioned on many previous posts - DO NOT engage with these individuals - KNOW YOUR RIGHTS and do not buy into the guilt trip that they are trying to sell tickets for.

Just received a call today (5/23) from Regional Credit Solutions and the rep I spoke to was David Clay.  Did not introduce himself properly or professionally.  Did not state the company he was calling from, did not provide an id# or anything when someone is calling to collect on a debt.  I had to call the number he called from to find where he was calling from.  He later stated he was calling on behalf of the lawyers for my original creditor. He stated that a settlement offer has been made on my behalf of $184 of a $330 debt which I know has been passed onto several different collection agencies within the past year.  Thinking too myself here we go again.  I told him I have no problem settling my debt with my original creditor now that I am working again, but I want legal documentation in writing in order to go any further which  I requested before in the past. He stated that I don't see why you did not receive any documentation, but it would not be a problem to get documentation sent to me.  He also stated that the receptionist would send it over if she is not back logged and I am thinking dang aren't you the customer service rep.  As I continue listening, he tells me that my only payment options I have are prepaid credit card, debit card, or credit card.  Stated to him I no longer use credit cards or any type of plastic so I can send payment via money order overnight and he tells me that we have to set up a post payment via the payment options he stated because I have until the end of this month to get it done in order to keep them from taking legal action against me.  At that moment I realized he was trying to hustle me like the last 5 collection agency.  I let him finish and said good day...so many red flags...please don't fall for the hype.  If you can at all resolve the debt through the original creditor please do, but if not leave well enough alone.  One last thing, all you have to do is just listen and they will eventually hang themselves.  #fedup

I received a phone call this morning 5/26, or should I say numerous calls.  I had no idea who this gentleman was but the minute he started his speech I hung up.  He called me back at least 5 times all within about 2 minutes as I answered and then hung up.  I looked on my cell and he had left a message on my cell stating that a summons was going to be sent to me and garnishment of my wages are to start in 30 days.  Good luck with that, I am laid off.  These bullies are very intimidating and sound so threatening.  Do not fall for it.  As stated above, this is a scam and if I had been a weak person maybe I would be scared but they lie and yell and threaten and I can see why people back down to them.  Keep strong.  They cannot hurt you.  This has happened to me before and I report it to the harassment hot line.  Everybody should!!

Received a call from this number today at work. Asked for me by my first name, asked if I was Linda, yes I am. Was immediately told that I owed for a payday loan. No, I don't , have never taked a payday loan. The women said" you're a liar and a thief!" WTF! I tried to get her to tell me who she was looking for , but she continued with, you're a liar, you know you stole money. She hung up and immediately called back. Had my boss answer, because she was concerned that someone was saying that they worked they and was getting loans. The women stated that she would have to fax her a copy of my SS number to clear this matter. Uh no! Find out the "Linda" she was looking for, was  born a different year than I, SS # not even close and to top things off, not even my last name. How dare they?..

I am getting calls as well. They leave a call back number of .855--837-9962 extra 425...Mr. washington..refused ti send me.copies of alleged debt when I asked requested them...he just changed the subject and told me I was difficult to work with...receiving callable couple times of day now.

These people won't stop! I have asked them to cease calling my job but they continue. They have called my friend which resulted in them making threats to her! They also state they are calling from a "legal office" which seems to be against the FDCPA rules. They have also threatened me with charges for "bank fraud." I am filing a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.

This number has called my cell, my husband's cell, and my home number. I can see how they got one of the numbers, but I've never given my cell or husband's cell to any payday loan place-how the heck do they get these numbers. Plus, he said he represented Payday 1, which I did have a loan with but pretty sure it's all paid up. I'm in Wisconsin and don't know who to contact to see if he has legal rights. He did slip up by telling me if I paid immediately, he'd cut the amount due in half-ya right! He said he was Mr. Williams, and after I hung up on him, he called again and threaten me again with court and wage garnishment.

Hi there... just wanted to know if they called back and do what they say they were gonna do. Because ive been getting calls but never spoke to them. They called my brother my house n my cp its weird I dont know how they got my brothers number n my home because we recently just moved. Idk what to do.

I just received my second call from this number saying they are trying to get ahold of my son regarding a law suit against him. The first time "Mr Washington" called, I took the info and called me son. He checked outthephone numbers & discovered it was a scam.  Thought it was over till today when the second call came. This time I said that there was no one here by that name and hung up.  "Mr Washington" called back immediately, I did not answer.  He left a very strong message that not only was my son being sued but I was going to be sued too because I was used as a reference.  Too dang old for these silly con games. My daddy didn't raise a fool.
