- JuliaHas called twice today wanting to speak with a lady here in our office. The woman on the phone, says that it is about the Special Olympics. I told her that we had already reached our limited for donations this year, but to keep us mind for next year....hopefully she will forget...
- Steve From YellowstoneSpecial Olympics? Did you win?
- JuliaThis is the second time that I have reported this number here on this page. The first was about Special Olympics, this time a man is calling to speak with the owner, and says that he is returning his call about the VFW. Makes it sound like we called him in reference to a job. Then he ask for his cell phone number, but I tell him that I am not at liberty to give that out. So far, he has called this office twice today. I wish they would just make up their mind, what they want....BETTER YET...just stop calling.
- ElSidcaller ID came up Cary, NC so I figured it for a spoofed number-looked here after no VM was left, and see it's not a call of consequence, which makes it either a way for a collections agency to determine if anyone answers,or a telemarketer.
Shortly after got a similar caller ID without a VM...
Sioux City IA
Note the trend- a city or town name with the state abbreviated in the caller ID text.- Caller: ?
- ElSidUsed *67 to "anonymize" my call and called the Cary NC number back- recorded answer said ...thanks for calling Donor Services and then it cut off (signifies that it could be a not-for-profit agency that uses a callcenter not worried about DNC lists -NFP's are exempt)....
The Sioux City IA number similarly called back had a person answer ...thanks for calling Direct Services- since I had it on mute they gave up after a few seconds of trying to talk and hung up.
A call center that uses spoofed numbers to get a person to answer then has the go signal to make their real pitch, whether for collections or to telemarket. If I had called either number without the *67,I might have had a different result and the phone could be ringing all day.- Caller: Donor Services

- kody G BearDear Mr. Kodybear
Dear Mr. Kodybear,
we regret to inform you of the untimely demise of your relative, Mr. Magago.
Mr. Magago was with the franchise as an unpaid public service announcer,
following a successful voicebox transplant from a doner bear. Mr. Magago
expressed concerns of organ compatability with his Doctor, surgeon Westphin
who had assured him complete compatability. It seemed he had a very
successful career ahead of him with his newfound talent for mimicry.
However, it seems some months after your leaving our employ, Mr. Magago
became despondent, and driven to excessive consumption of controlled
substances, began to antagonize the local bear population. This behavior
reached its peak near Christmas 2004 when, seeing what he took to be a
simple piece of heavy equipment, Mr. Magago began issuing taunts to the
driving bear. In a scene reminicient of the massacre at Tiananmen square,
Mr. Magago was turned on by what turned out to be a vintage battle tank
driven by the insulted bear. The resulting carnage would best be left
undescribed, but suffice to say, the end did not come quickly for Mr.
Magago. He lingered on for weeks until finally lapsing into coma at 09:41
am, Feb. 2. I am sure your aware of Mr. Magago's living will, giving
explicit instructions to be removed from life support when determined that
he was unsavable. Life support was terminated at 09:42 am, Feb. 2.
Mr. Magago was immediately cremated and his ashes dispersed along with a
super sized order of McDonalds fries, per his request. The service was
attended by a hoard of screaming seagulls who spoiled the ceremony by
swooping in and making off with the remains.
He is survived by his many brothers and sisters available for import via
e-bay.
I apologize if the above comments seem insensitive or callus, but you see,
after a monkey is made a gimp, there really is no future for him, C'est la
Vie ?
Mr. Magago, Godspeed.
Take care Mr. Kodybear,
Kody G. Bear,
attorney at large. - M A TraylorReceived a call - Could not answer in time but after reading other comments I can only assume that it is an unwanted solicitation call

- LDave2nd call today. Asks for owner by first name. I asked for callers name and was told April Smith. When asked what company her reply was Medallion. After a brief hold, I told her owner was not available and she said she'd call back. I told her he would not take her call and that I could help her. She said "that's ok, thank you." and hung up.
Caller ID reads N Carolina Call - LeighThis place calls under a guise of several numbers, including (919) 439-4739, 439-5406 and 887-2285
They asked for someone at my house who doesn't live there.. we told them they had the wrong number, and we keep seeing these numbers on our phone. When I called the numbers back, I got the same "This is the Donor Privacy Protection LIne....".... so look out for (919) area code numbers.- Caller: Solicitation
