This is a guy name Christopher Flood (Chris Flood, Chris J Flood, Christopher J Flood, etc.)  He seems to have nothing better to do than harass people on Craiglist.  He keeps sending hate mail about some other technician name Jody to people and posting malicious ads.  He won't clean up his act despite the fact that other technicians have openly called out to him to stop being so rude, but his response is always a rough equivalent to saying "f*** off."  Very unprofessional behavior.  This is still going on as of April 17 2008.  He may clean up his act eventually, but it will probably take some hard knocks before that will happen.

Yeah, called me too.  Asked me to come to a job -- it sounded like bs, but I went anyway.  The people there told me I was at the wrong place.  When I called the number back, and asked for the person who asked me to do a job, or for Chris Flood, he said I had the wrong number.  Rechecked my called ID -- same number.

Wait, this guy is calling other computer people with fake jobs?  Because that sounds like what you are saying craigslister2.  What would be the motivation behind something like that?  Also I found his address by reverse lookup on this number through anywho.com if you are interested in sending him snail mail or legal messages.

This is the cell phone number of Chris Flood.  Chris is a convicted violent felon from New York.  He likes to start flame wars on Craigs List.  He not only refuses (has been for months) to follow the CL posting rules, but he flags his own posts in the afternoons from other IP addresses, so he can then repost THE SAME DAY.  He is virtually incompetent when it comes to repairing PC, and in my opinion, is probably more likely to mess up your PC or even load a key logger on it (one of his convictions is for credit card theft).  He uses the email address chris_71@ctc.net  He is due in court in Raleigh, NC in early May for criminal conduct in NC.  NC is pretty lenient it seems, too many bigger fish to fry perhaps, but maybe this will put him away for awhile and give him some time to think about the permanency of these rapidly growing numbers of posts.

Wow!  I saw the post someone put on CL warning about this guy and to google his phone number.  I did.  Saw this, and more.  I called him anyway, just to see if maybe it was untrue (he guaranteed the best prices).  He acted like a total jerk and was clearly not interested in doing any PC work!  I asked him why he was even posting for jobs then, and he said [***] off!  I'm taking my computer to Best Buy!

I saw the NC stuff on the court calendar, but only saw something for speeding.  What was the charge that you saw that might have put him away?  (Obviously it hasn't worked, holy crap he posts over and over every damn day!)  In my casual opinion, this guy is a pretty damn good example of what a convict SHOULD NOT do if they want to get back into society.  I also saw some crap where he was trying to sell "XS energy drinks" on Craigslist, which I know that the MLM company Quixtar sells, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's an MLM exclusive brand.  He fell for the MLM pitch, so I suppose we can ascertain his analytical capabilities quite well from that (and the fact that he's not some 20-year-old kid who doesn't know any better, what is he like 35-45 or so?  Grown men need not act so childish IMHO).

I CALLED this guy, for PC help.  My PC would not boot.  "NTLDR" file missing error.  Chris told me a bunch of rigamarole about that being an unrecoverable problem, and the only way to fix it was to reload Windows, and never even mentioned he would reload in such a way as to LOSE ALL MY DATA -- INCLUDING RESEARCH PAPERS, FAMILY PHOTOS, AND OTHER PRICELESS STUFF.  I was devastated.  Paid him anyway, half-beleiving it was the only solution, and was 100% my fault since I had not made backups (some fault of mine, sure).  Then someone told me that he could have repaired that error in 10 minutes.  COnfirmed this in online help forums.  Called another tech here, told him I was concerned now about experience/qualifications.  He showed up and SHOWED them to me.  Then he told me HE could have repaired that error in 10 minutes.  He then used some fancy software to recover a LOT of my lost files, most of them in fact.  Took a few hours.  In all I spent almost $300 to both techs, when it should have been about $40 and done right the first time.  I'm mentioning this because I just saw a post on CL, where someone said they ran checks on Christopher J. Flood to determine if he really is Cisco and Microsoft Certified as he claims in his posts.  These certifications can be easily verified.  Chris Flood is lying and does not hold these certifications.  Incidentally, I paid by check, and when I got the check back from the bank, it was endorsed "Christopher J. Flood."

To add to the last post:  I just called Chris to tell him all this, and to request a refund, and he said "I don't give refunds."  I told him I would report his fruadulent claims to the police, and he said "Eat [***]" and hung up!  I called the police and they said they'd sent a deputy out within a few days to take a statement or I could come down there and do so.  Not sure I even want to mess with it -- too much time already wasted.  This is the only "justice" I'll probably get.  Sooner or later Chris will get busted.

Apparently he has this wonky vendetta against a guy named Jody, who he seems to be harassing anonymously all over the Internet about Jody's criminal record.  I looked and the Jody guy's record is apparently from an incident involving a computer at his office in 2002 or so, and it seems that Jody is trying to do honest business and make something good of his life, whereas Chris seems to be going out of his way to piss people off as well as destroy Jody, who seems to just want Chris to leave him alone.  Why he does this, I have no idea.  I think he thinks the people above are Jody, but their writing styles do not match his, so that's pure bull. Chris seems to have caused enough malice to have more enemies than he can count, and I would feel bad for him if he didn't seem to deserve it.  He does not apologize or show remorse, and he hides behind Internet anonymity when he attacks others, but we can all tell it is him by the way he writes (Poor or no capitalization, and his trademark multiple punctuation marks such as ??? and !!! in sentences) and he's not fooling ANYONE.

He is now spam posting on Craigslist again! Using "Spyware Doctor" and "Spyware Busters" as name with no phone number in those ads, and also posing as "CJ Computer Services WITH a number, BUYER PLZ BEWARE...

I post ads on Craig's List, that compete with Chris Flood's ads.  He constantly sent me harassing/annoying emails and phone calls.  So I finally just filed a complaint with my local deputy on him and he has been charged with "Cyberstalking" under NC Statute 14 and a warrant issued.  Deputy said they would not pick him up as he's not in this jurisdiction, but he'd be arrested at his next traffic stop MAYBE, and for sure next time he goes in to register his car or renew his license.  He said it's "only" a 2nd degree misdemeanor but that you can go to prison for that in NC.  Also said it could rise to a higher level or be "aggravated" by other factors, including repeat or multiple counts.  I've got proof of a number of incidents and can't wait to be on the stand as a witness and hand over the evidence acquired by myself and others.

John, I had to file a police report against him as well.  I think that I may have him on both cyberstalking AND harassment charges based on his repeated attempts to destroy my business and make me look as horrible as possible.  Could you please leave a message for Officer J.L. Walker Carrboro Police Department at (919) 918-7397 ext. 7517 and let him know?  My police report at Carrboro P.D. is number 08-09170 for reference.  He is not the detective handling the case, but he is the one I handed the file to, and perhaps if both L.E. departments are made aware of this problem, they will take it more seriously.  I understand that crimes happening NOW are important, but Chris Flood seems to be very unstable based on numerous reports I have seen here and elsewhere, and I am worried that he may arbitrarily decide to escalate his attacks beyond mere harassment to vandalism or violence.

Add me to the list also! This guy is a loser! He must get any work as it seems all he does is harass people on CL. He constantly removes my ads that compete with his. He will post an ad, than i will post mine and he will delete his and post so he is also on top of my ad. He has called and hung up a number of times. I have a pile of emails he has sent me. He has used my booking system to send me harassing email. He post my personal info on CL and then claims i am the one that is doing it to him!! I have filed a police report on him. Law Enforcement instructed me i should call him and tell him (in an effort to make this stop) that i have filed a report against him; so i did and he effectively told me to "bring it on". This guy is a piece of work!! People beware of this person. I have thought about getting him ticketed for conducting business without a business license.

It is very likely that Tammy Thorp is a faculty member for the Wakefield Middle School special needs department, as seen in Google searches for Tammy Thorp in Raleigh, NC, and 27614 is a ZIP code very close to that middle school.
