- a| 1 replyI agree do not call this number. They also claimed to represent Synergy sub and could save me money on a 3 yr. suscribition to a magazine. The magazine they claimed they could save me money on does not recognize subscriptions from this co. They quite calling for a few days and now have started in again. Plus the amount was less through the actuall co than it was through them.
- aI had a few days break from calls from this number and now they have started in again. Thank God for caller ID. Never call them back as they don't listen to the messages that are left. If they would they won't keep on calling.

- Hope This Info Helps ...| 1 replyGot a call from 919-948-6911 to renew a magazine subscription. Found out that they are a third party renewing agent, but they made it sound like they were from the company itself (which has a membership dept). Unfortunately, we renewed, then decided to check the price, and it was cheaper online -- so called the direct line to the membership office to cancel. They had no knowledge of calling us, so called the CC company to put a high fraud alert on the card did a little checking online, since the inbound 919-948-6911 phone call to us had no one pick up and no name/company identifier on the "leave a message" message.
Was able to backtrack to Synergy Subscriptions of Temecula CA main phone # 886-386-9352 (option 2) and spoke with Honor Moore to have the charge removed. She talked about rates to defend the higher price they charged ($11 higher per year - and a higher price was actually charged than they quoted over the phone), but was not reversing/voiding the charge. I pushed hard and threatened to call the CC company back and fill a fraud charge if she did not void the charge, and she said yes please go ahead and report them as fraud and hung up. (Sure surprised me!) My CC company's fraud dept immediately canceled the account after hearing the story. So, it could have just been a really bad day at the office, but to go from how may I provide excellent service ... to only if you have power of attorney ... to go ahead and report us as fraud ... in the space of three minutes was a bit much. So, hope this helps others who read this ... sorry for making Honor lose her cool ... and no more renewals over the phone for us.
BTW - It wasn't overcharging by $11, it was giving a false impression of who they were and charging a different amount than quoted that had me concerned about fraud.- Caller: synergy subscriptions

- Susan LoganWas called once yesterday and again this afternoon; caller ID displayed "unavailable." I did not answer and no message was left.
- Caller: "Unavailable"
- kate71They have called 3 times today. ID says " unavailable" even though my *77 is activated. They leave no message, and I never answer unless I know who is calling anyway; but it is a royal pain to have the phone ring at inopportune times. I am on the DNC list for what good it does...none apparently.
- Burned once replies to Hope This Info Helps ...I too was sucked into a magazine renewal with this group about a year ago. Woman was polite, had my name and knew I was a subscriber to the magazine. I paid by credit card. My account was charged the amount quoted. Shortly after that I received a renewal notice directly from the publisher. When I called and explained about this renewal, there was no record of it. I called my credit card company and had to close out my card account. I the found some info online about this scam. It only cost me about $30 bucks so that is a cheap lesson. Beware!
- DanI had this call and realized it was similar to others I have received where the calling company has stolen subscription information (or at least using it unlawfully) to get people to renew in order to get their credit card information. They tried to tell me I had returned the card to renew and asked to be billed and that was why they were calling. The magazine in question, Shutterbug, had already been renewed for 3 years and I was still in year #1. I talked to Shutterbug and found that a group (possibly a former renewing agent for them) had used the subscription information to call subscribers to steal information.
