Breast cancer charity scam. Caller ID is "CCI". Aslo calls from (920) 212-3163 under "United Breast Cancer". Blocked

They call every month or so.  I block them (her) every time.  They must be switching up their numbers.  I know it's the same woman.  She always starts with the same folksy quip- asks for my husband first, then says "I can talk to either one of you", then makes a dumbass joke about her kids.  This time it was "getting a hold of you two(they always start out that way" is harder than getting my kids to make their own beds."  Always something like that to start.  Then she starts with the fake charity scam about breast caner research. Only thing that you can do is block these illegal scammers.  A real charity would change-up their caller ID and phone number to try to fool you.  Just keep on blocking!

I started keeping a log of all the scam calls I get because they have increased dramatically in the past few weeks. Everything from "this is rachel in credit card services" to the IRS suing me, to collection agencies calling about bogus debts, to I've won a vacation, to "your computer is generating error messages," and on and on. Whereas I used to get a couple a week, I now get 3+ every day and the number keeps rising. This # is one that has called every other day for weeks. Since I have never answered and have blocked the #, I didn't know what CCI allegedly represented until I came on here looking at other reports. I've now noticed, since keeping my log,  that this # calls on even-numbered days and another # (920-212-3163, showing as "united Breast C") calls on odd-numbered days. So I believe these two names/#'s are from the same scammers, using alternate (spoofed) numbers on alternate days. They now like to show the same area code as the number they are calling, so you will be more likely to think it's someone you might know, and might then answer. A**holes of the world unite.

CCI left no message.  SCAM

Getting calls every few days. I guess they don't understand when you don't answer the phone.

This is a computer.  Yes, it may sound like a human, but it's not.  It's a computer with a series of responses calculated to match what the scammers hear.  The caller is a robot, possibly located in Pakistan, continuously dialing numbers until it finds a sucker with a credit card.  There is a special place in [***] Hell for these crooks.  Please send them there.

They call several times a day.  Some cancer charity.  I don't answer and they leave a message.  But they continue to call.  Can't seem to stop or block the calls.  So glad I signed up for the No Call List.

"united breast cancer foundation",   Here is there website. http://ubcf.org/   If you call them back, they give info about them and how to be removed from their call list.  May or may not be a scam.  Need to look at their IRS filings.

Call but do not ever leave a message. I have now turned off my answering system to all these scab callers.

Calls several times a week/day. I've picked up a couple times, and it's some breast cancer charity scam. I told them once that I have breast cancer, which is true, but didn't shut her up. Hung up. I'm on the Do Not Call Registry. Apparently, it is good for nothing. Getting more calls each week from CCI, messages telling me my computer is in danger, dead space when answered and Card Member Services for credit cards I don't own. I have none.

Didn't say anything.  Then hung up.

Female voice on phone: (exceedingly perky, cheerful, and sing-songy) "Hi! Is the lady of the house there?"

Me: pause, "I am an attorney working in my office. You may have dialed the wrong number?"
Voice on phone: (literally downcast, nearly an octave lower, no longer perky) "Oh, I didn't realize this was a business. I'll update our records.")

My answering machine is off. No message.

Have received calls on three consecutive days.  The voicemail CLEARLY states that calls where the number in not recognized are not answered.  I guess robots cannot listen.

They called at 6am..I thought there was a family emergency.I also thought there was a time frame for these calls.I did not answer the robo call did not leave a message.Thanks for this web site.

I do not want any more calls from the above number. Annoying!

Please realize that:

• Your post here will NOT stop the calls.  We did not call you.  Your caller probably does not read these messages.  We cannot block calls to you.  We cannot put you on or take you off a list.
• The National Do Not Call list is respected by legitimate telemarketers, but is ignored by criminal telescammers.
• YOU are your own best defense against unwanted calls! You can use a call blocking app, device, service or procedure to block such calls.

The dimwits called at 8am and again at noon. Told the woman at the other end to never call me again.

Got Call from 920-312-7008 today, lame joke then proceeded to the scam. I just hung up. then I called back from another number left a message telling them That We know this is a scam and i left them their own number to return a call....

Never leaves a message.  Will Block
