I received a text saying to call this number to reactivate my card. Didn't say what card.

i recived a similar message saying my card was deactivated by a credit union! i talked to my bank and they said not to call or reply!

I got this message also.  Does anyone know anymore information about it?  My guess is that they are looking to get account numbers.  I knew it wasn't real because I don't belong to the bank that was mentioned.

just got the same thing does anybody know if this means your identity is in any kind of danger? where do they get my number and banking branch

I got the same message as a text message but the number to call back was 309-550-5277.  The text came from www@spamass3.serve.com

Same thing for me: Someone better put a stop to this soon.

Said card had been deactivated. I don't have a card from there! It said to call 419-465-8600

WAS A TEXT MESSAGE WHICH I HAVE TO PAY FOR

CALL THAT NUMBER AND THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO RETUN THE CALL.

i got a text message and my wife did to that stated our bank card had been deactivated and to call a phone number that  is in the monroeville .ohio area to reactivate it    ( i really think not ) no way does a bank send you this info and want you too calll a private number

i got the same thing but the call back number was 828-333-5131------828 is the NC area code where I live so i'm not sure if it was locally originated or just worked out that way--i am going to call verizon tomorrow

I just got the same one too from www@spamass3.serve.com saying the telco community credit union deactivated my card, a bank which I do not have any accounts with. I looked up the bank's website and they have  a phishing scam warning on the homepage describing that it was happening during the holidays.

i just now received this very same text with an 828 NC phone number! how did they get my number? they texted my wife minutes later while she sat next to me. how odd is that? who are these people and what do they want!!!

their number was 828-318-8622. they will suffer large if they continue with this attemt to do whatever it is they are attempting to do!

I got this one, too, on Nov. 30. Confused me. No way I'm calling it though. My card works fine.

Got a text on Dec.1st  Saying my card had been deactivated... i just recieved a text saying that my bank card has been deactivated.i need to call 15638238800. what is this?

Received the following text message:
Capital One Alert: Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED. Please contact us at 801-649-5030 to REACTIVATE you CARD.

Called Capital One just to be sure, this is definitely fraudulent. They don't even have my cell phone number on file.

received a text stating that my capitol one card had been deactivated and to reactivate call 801-649-5030

Just got the same message. Same number to reply only the last 4 digits were 5020. Everyone who gets these should warn their friends and family not to respond. Some people get sucked in and robbed.
