It's a scam.  They called to say that there is an issue with my computer.  Funny thing is that I haven't turned on my home computer for over a year.  And it was a man who called himself William Smith, with a south Asian accent.  It all reeks of a scam.

This is a scam.  He's telling me there is something wrong with my computer.  I asked him to take my phone number off his list.  I then put phone receiver by my radio that was playing.  When I picked up phone later he had hung up.  He then called back, which the answering machine took!  He called a third time!  When I picked up phone he was gone.

Didn't catch the name but he said he was with "Computer Technical Support".   I asked him if people were actually stupid enough to fall for his scam, we traded vulgarities for about 20 seconds, then I laughed, wished him a nice day and hung up.  On the "Call type" dropdown, "Scam" or "Ripoff" is not among the choices so I left it as "Unknown"

Had the same thing just happen to me.  Asked him how he knew what was going on in my computer.  He said that he knew and that I don't and I had to listen to him.  Told him that I work with computers as part of my job and he said that couldn't be true because then why haven't I addressed the issue?  (!!!)  Repeatedly asked him to take me off of his call list but he wouldn't acknowledge it.  When I asked him a 4th time and wouldn't let him continue until he acknowledged it, he hung up.

They told me they were tech support for Microsoft Windows & that my computer was generating errors.  They wanted me to enter info on my computer.  I told them that I was not comfortable with this & have Microsoft send me an email on the issue.

Haha this guy called me and immediately knew it wasn't mine because I don't associate my number with my Microsoft account. He told me to get on my computer and type in "console" in the search on computer and that a lot of errors and stuff should pop up. Then goes "and bye I'll talk to you another time hah". So I busted out laughing told him to go [***] himself and that I knew it was a scam and didn't do anything he told me and I just wasted 45 minutes of his day without scamming me. Needless to say. He called back and cursed at me left and right so I hung up. And now he kept calling back. So I blocked him. No more problems!!

Calls often but we don't answer.  Latest call was this afternoon.
