I used *67 to call back the number.  It is US Mortgage Quotes TELESPAM.  I blocked the number.

This company keeps calling me!  Thanks now I know who it is!

Finally talked to someone on their fourth call here.
Yes - its some sort of mortgage thing, either a 'lead hunter' or an outright scam.
They had my name and address, but asked about my 4.5% mortgage - on a house that I am renting and that has no mortgage.
So their database is probably just names of people that have not moved in a long time.
Since I am on the DNC list - they are either pure scam, or lead hunters breaking the law.
Either way - do not deal with them!

Hang-up call.  Yup, we're on the Do Not Call list.  Fat lot of good it does, too.  

Hang-up calls are NOT a violation of the Do Not Call list!

Someone keeps calling me from this number - 925-232-0431 - and  then hangs up.    They call at least 2x day.

They call and no one is there when answered..  get a call once in a while from this place. Never an answer

This is a mortgage leader that calls frequently.   We asked that they not call us anymore, but they continue calling anyway.  There should be laws protecting consumers from calls like this.   925-232-0431 is blocked now!!

There are laws that protect you and also give you the right to sue them.  But you need to handle it the right way.  Simply asking them not to call should work, but when it doesn't a certified, return receipt letter telling them to put you on their internal and external do not call list works wonders.  Complaints to the DNC and your State Attorney General help also.  It helps to spen a little time a research things so that you learn what you need to know.
