i would like to know the same thing, they dont speak english, and they just keep saying im being a fraud for using my email

this foreign man has called me multiple times and changed his name to john carter, william johnson, and other names.... he is very hard to understand and gets upset when i ask him to repeat himself or to give me to another rep. i think he is saying i am in legal trouble(which i am not) so i want to report this number for  harassing me.

My paralegal keeps getting these calls.  I called the number and someone wwith an Indian or Pakistani accent stated they are from the department of law.  real pain in the ass.  Call them back and start yelling at them

Don't fall for this it is a scam they are trying to get money out of you. I have received calls from the following #'s and each time it's the same people saying I've defaulted on a payday loan.

312-473-2924 /A Paul Smith left a message for me to call both at my home and work number. If you do a search on these numbers you will see where these people are trying to get money. I almost fell for the call from 781-443-7087 until I spoke to the Maryland State's Attorney's Office and was told nothing had been filed against me and not to give these people any money over the phone because it's a scam

I am very upset that we are being scammed and told that we owe money.  No one should believe a word they are saying. They also need to learn how to speak english.
They need to be arrested for harrassment.

Someone from this phone number has called me three times to tell me that he (non-english man) is going to press charges against me for a pay day loan that they say i recieved from them. He said he worked for a law firm but would not repeat the name when asked. I am a full-time college student that does not work and NOT able to get a loan.

He was a man from india, and got upset with me when i asked him to repeat himself. I told him on all three occasions that I could not understand him and that I wanted to speak to an english speaking person, in fact he argued with me that he was english speaking. At this point I hung up on him. Before hanging up I was able to figure out that they got ahold of my social security number. What fun! Going to the local police department to speak with them about identity theft.

This same man has contacted me.  I about fell out when he told me my social security number, home address, e-mail address, and work address.  I called the Federal Trade Commission, they were of some help.  Try them.  Did anything happen with reporting it to the police department?

I have received telephone calls from this number.  They told me they were going to sue me for a pay day loan i never took out.  They were EXTREMELY rude.  I figured at that point it was a scam....and THEN he told me my social security number, addresses, and place of employment.  I called the Federal Trade Commission and put fraud alerts with the 3 credit bureaus.  Some people are saying to call the local police department.  Has that helped anyone??

it's a scam don't fall for it do what I always do when they call you tell them to hang on and just sit the phone down and let them wait and wait intel they hang up that's what I always do I waste their time like they waste mine it's real funny you should try it

So I get a call from a Steven Scott from (914) 612-7261 on 12/13 & another call from (925) 331-6002, couldn't make out the name...

So like everyone else on here posting the Man had my information, SS, Address, Bank name... not sure where he got this from but I have a feeling that they got my info from an Online cash advance loan I currently took out a couple of months ago.

I'm going to change my bank account number just in case... Has anyone got any results from contacting  your local Police department or Federal Trade Commission?

TOTAL SCAM... they said I owed $300.00 from a past due online advance loan from a Company called US Cash in Jan. 2011... Lol I didn't even have a bank account during that time.

I received 5 calls from this number today.  I told him that I know this is a scam and to NOT call me again and he still keeps calling.  How do you get them to stop.

I received several calls from this gentlemen as well as several different names, the first being John Carter, the second being Marc, a third Neil....and who knows what the rest were. He was very hard to understand. He claimed I was given a $300 payday which is against the law in Georgia but was being sued for $7,000, does that even make sense. He told me to have my lawyer contact him which is when I got irate, of course he hung up. I called back and asked to speak with a supervisor where he simply changed his voice around and got right back on the phone. He said I should appear in court but then told me an officer would come to my home with a warrant.....I'm confused. I said I would sue him for harassment and in turn he tells me if I sue him, he will sue me for $10,000. Right. A law firm without a name? I doubt!

Received the call from 925-331-6002 at work.  Man with very heavy accent, had to keep asking him to repeat himself, took a while to even figure out what he was talking about. Initially asked to speak with someone named Dimibreau Sniper, told him no one by that name worked here.  Eventually said he was from the Law group department of a company called U.S. Press Advance and his name was Peter Brown.  Stated that someone used my name in regard to some type of loan and that I had to appear at the County Court tomorrow.  Asked him which county - he said he didn't know just that it was in California. When pressed for more specific information - he hung up.

He has a indian accent said to have my attourney or I to call him, Wishing me luck have received this call for over a year now. He tells me he will call my boss and tell them to garnish my wages, It is scary because they have my full social and my boss's number, Say's that if I don't pay the law will come and arrest me. The good thing is that I know it is a scam but these poor ederly people they scare them to death. I do understand the first time this had happened I was scared called the State Police asked if they had a warrent for my arrest but when they said it was for $500.00 for a pay Day Loan then I knew it was a scam as I have never got a pay Day Loan.. They have called from differant phone numbers over the past year and a half. And also I go on line and check the number and themn report it.. Can't understand hardly but say's from some Law Firm.

I received calls from 925-331-6002 stating I am being sued and an affidavit was sent to my home regarding a default on a loan from a cash advance.  I do not have a loan for a cash advance nor have I ever.  They also said they tried to pull money from my account?  I monitor my accounts everyday and I have not seen any such thing.  I believe this is a scam to get your banking information in order to SCAM you out of money...

I have received 22 phone calls from this number in the last 25 minutes . I have reported the number to my local precint

I recieved calls from (925) 331-6002.they called my phone 10 times saying i am being sued for not paying back a payday loan that i never got. so i called them back more times then they called me and they just kept hanging up on me. when they answered they would not give me to a supervisor. they will not say what company they work for and wanted my attorney information.

the man on the first phone call stated that he was from the department of law. is there even a such thing?

I just called that dud eand went off on heim little did he know Im from the streets cussed his ass out and he hung up ......I kinda like that [***] too good for Anger Management :)!
