Called number back.  Person who answer was trying to push an audition for our child until I told them to contact her agent.
All the lady could say is "Oh!  She has an agent?"   When I said yes that was the end of the call.

A pre-recorded message from CelebrityExperience.TV regarding an open call in Dallas. Sure sounds like a scam or phishing for valid phone numbers.

Super random locations, this has to be a scam. I'll call them back in a bit when I have some time to do some probing... I don't usually give my number to any online requests. There is something we all must have in common. Any apps downloaded recently because I have. That could be incentive for a corrupt manufacturer to create a seemingly useful app for free. If you read all the permissions you accept they often request either your identity or phone number and we're all agreeing with the impression that our information is safe. I'm not sure that is always the case. Once when I got my first smartphone, a Galaxy Exhibit, before I knew what a widget was I downloaded a seemingly very useful, straightforward flashlight app. I used it for a while until I became familiar with the data usage associated with my phone and which apps were consuming the most data. For some reason, even when the light was turned "off" the application would continue to run and transmit whatever data to wherever I had accepted written in the fine print when I pressed the install button. I've since had three phones and know that to be most likely an instance of what I know now they call spyware. Nowadays, I always read ALL the requested app. permissions and use common sense judgment as to whether or not I think the selected app. really needs all the access to whatever personal information that it is asking for.

However, I have recently downloaded a couple games, one of which did ask for identity and I assumed of course it was legit as it is a pretty popular game to my understanding. None of the music apps I can think of requested any information like that. We all must have done something in common however if we're all getting random calls from these people across the country.
