Just received a call   Claiming to be Microsoft and told me me computer was infect not infected, but infect?  I played along and he asked me to turn on computer and hit my ctrl windows keys.  Of course I did not and told him we had just installed a new software program therefore could NOT have any viruses.   I told him he was a scam and pls take my cell number off his list. The man could barely speak English!  Pitiful that people spend so much time trying to scam innocent bystanders.

Third day in a row this number has tried to call my phone!  I blocked it the first time since I didn't recognize the number!  Disgusted to have the phone ring once, but at least it is blocked!

Thanks to those who have identified the caller.

This is the second day in a row that this number has called my PRIVATE WORK PHONE. This is not a number I give out.

Today I answered after yesterday having read the other notes from what others have posted. There was no one on the line and when I asked if there was any one on the line, they hung up.

Should have heard how quick he hung when I told him I work for the federal government and am a computer specialist. Told him I was reporting him to the authorities.

Today, I received a call about my computer, the guy informed me that he is a technician and his name is Austin. He took the access of my computer and did work on it for about 90 mins. He also provided protection to my PC. Now my PC is working much more faster then it was before and i am happy about it.

Are you a shill for these people or just plain stupid.  Nobody monitors your computer and calls you out of the blue unless you previously set up some arrangement.  If you are for real, change all of your passwords and banking information and inform your e-mail and facebook contacts that you have been hacked.  Since you're probably a shill, [***], we aren't falling for your fake testimony.

I don't own a computer yet he called claiming my computer was getting unwanted inquiries from IP addresses.  ....All computers get that....I told him that I don't own a computer so his service must be broken.  I forwarded his information on to the FBI.  Don't know where it goes from there.

This number called again today. A woman claiming to be from Microsoft, saying we needed to restart our computer. She had a heavy Indian accent, and my wife told her not to call back. My wife stays on top of things through the internet, and is aware of these people and the scams they use.
