This is an IRS phone scam and they are using magic jack

Just tried to get all my info to scam me when i have been on disability then i said, dude im looking your number up and it says you are an irs scam.  Plus i dont know of five indian people IN A ROW THAT HOLD THE CHEIF JUSTICE IF THE TEASURIE.  If you are going to do a dcam at least get your [***] straight

This is a phone scam that asked for my lawyers name because action was being taken on me and that if I didn't provide it, I would know just how serious it was within a couple of hours.  They said they were from the US Treasury.  I hung up.

IRS scam caller wanted my attorney and claimed that I was a fraud and they would prosecute me. The east Indian man ended with holiday blessings on my voice mail.

IRS Scammer left us a message saying to call back now or we will need a lawyer. The fool couldn't even speak English properly and thinks I'm going to believe that he is from the US Treasury.

Yep.  Scam Alert.  This call is not from the "Office of Legal Affairs" of the U.S. Treasury Office.  This is bunk.  Hang up on them.

Just received the same call.  Indian chap.  When I asked for additional information he asked me to call back.

Same thing happened to me just now. Call from 925-953-8820. They had my cell and address. SCARY. Told me there was legal action pending against me. Identified themselves as David Lewis and John Miller. Both Indian accents. I hung up

Claimed to be from the U.S. Treasury, Department of Legal Affairs. He said his name was Austin Black. He claimed a legal action had been started against my son.

Saw on my caller ID that it was an unknown name so I didn't answer.  A man with an Indian accent left a message saying legal action was being taken against me and to have my lawyer call back.  That was about all I could understand along with happy holidays.  So ridiculous, hope these creeps get caught.

Said that they wanted attorney info because there was suit against me...told them that I had relatives in the FBI and that they have been informed...his reply was ok then we will be arresting you...I am waiting! LOL!!!

This scam should have been obvious but had some credibility with IRS lingo and government incompetence.  They effectively threatened 6 months jail and $7000 fines if I did not get $4995 cash from my bank and get a money voucher, of which I would provide the verification code.  They wanted me to stay on my cell phone during the whole process, which was where it got very fishy.  I told him to hold while I went to find a cell phone and found this site.

Got a call from this phone number with a message that was very difficult to understand because of the thick indian accent, stating he was John Miller from the department of legal affairs, US treasury.  I could smell a scam right away with the thick accent, and the department of legal affairs US treasury, are you kidding me this doesn't even exist.  Then I looked this number up on the internet and found all these other posts and I could tell for sure it was a scam.  I did call the number back and got a recording by what sounded like an Indian woman stating that I had reached the "department of legal affairs, US treasury."  Can someone please just go arrest these people so they will stop bothering people at home.  Ridiculous.  I hope they accidently cold call the FBI.  I wish I could block specific numbers like this on my home phone like I can with my cell phone.  What a nuisance.  

Got a call - said IRS we are filing numerous lawsuits against you - call this number.  I called back the number that called me, I guy with an accent answered, "IRS,"  I said no you are not IRS, you are a scam and take me off your stupid list.  He said I will just keep calling you back.
