Got a message from a Joe Carson from Portfolio Recovery Services, very smug and threatening. This is also violating the stay on collection activity court-ordered by my bankruptcy filing and if they call back I'm calling my lawyer, the attorney general, and the Better Business Bureau.

I received a call from Joe Carson, whomever he may be.  He never stated what company or firm he was with, who his client was nor what debt this is suppose to be about.  All he said to me was this is a matter for (attempt to pronounce my name) in an attempt to reach you for the second time in regards to my clients.  You wrote a check from your pnc account to cover payment and it looks as if you've made several payments and then communication stopped.  First of all, I never wrote any checks but from my chase account which has been closed for a while and isn't definitely not PNC. My bank account is one of three and I definitely didn't use this for check purposes.  But the lack of information as to who his clients are, who he is and what payments he is referring to is very suspect to me.  He claims to have called me on Feb. 23rd.  My call logs doesn't have him calling me at any time but yesterday, neither does my voicemail messages.

This company is a sham they try to collect on out of date loans they buy for pennies on the dollar and then try to get you to twice what you originally owed   If you have a debt then contact the original creditor and make arrangements with them if possible or just forget it If it's beyond your states statute of limitations there's nothing they can do as long as you don't acknowledge the debt ( this starts the clock all over again) And DON"T TALK TO THEM

i got a call from a Stanley Lock  from  "PRG"   very nice man helped me get out of trouble  with a past due  debt  he was very respectful with me and allowed me to set up a payment plan with his company to get this off  of my credit report  and even saved me  money  settled me out at 75 % of what i actually owed  and i recieved  my paid in full letter  1 hour after i paid this off   i have to thank  stanley and his company for helping me through this mess  could not have asked for a better person to deal with

Thank you "Mary Bright" for the paid advert for the "PRG System". "Mary Bright"? Why not "John Doe" or "Mary Shopper". I mean REALLY! These shills gotta get better names!
