- TomI got a "cell phone" call from these people. I waited and dialed 1 to speak to the people to tell them to take me off their list. The guy told me they weren't selling anything, but it finally turned out that they had already been paid to solicit funds from others. Dishonest.
- Michael HartertCalled 2 days in a row, and no message. I am on the do not call list.
- BabsA recording offering to set up free in-home energy audit to qualify for free federal, state, and local stimulus money. A scam, and an old one at that. I did as they offered and hit #3 to be removed from their contact list. They call again and I can take them to small claims court for $500, they call a third or more time and it goes up to $1500 each time they call. Might just be worth the time to go after these jerks.

- desertrat2Called my number on 3-1-12. Left no message. Called ID says "wireless caller".
- Teresa WhitlockCalls 1-2 times a day for a week now. Wish it would stop, I am on a no call list, too.
- EdPicked up this call today 3/3/2012. This is the 3rd day in a row they have called. Listened to their recorded pitch about how they have been contracted by federal, state and local governments to conduct energy audits. Pressed 1 at their prompt and talked with a guy who said he represented American Energy Education and he claimed do not call legislation didn't apply to him. Told him to stop calling and make sure my number was removed from the source list he received it from. he insisted do not call didn't apply to him and proceeded to tell me he would call again tomorrow!!!Blocked his number and reported him to National Do Not Call Registry . . . Which I am beginning to think is a waste of time.

- carolynnumber on do not call list. Will report to AZ attorney general.
- joeIt's about time my phone rang today. I like my professional grade call blocking system. I still get a few calls now and then. I find it amusing when I see caller ID come up on my TV but none of my phones ring. I can even turn off the TV caller ID if I want to.
Before I block a number I google it for complaints. I appreciate those who contribute to this site and similiar sites as this is a powerful tool to help us all avoid future calls from numbers who call too often, don't leave messages, and those who think we are idiotic enough to give them our personal information.
What disturbs me the most is the loss of time and productivity we all have to endure with unwanted calls. What encourages me is the fact we have technology available that can block many of these calls. If we all blocked or ignored their calls, do you think they would continue calling? Is the ultimate retaliation to not answer the phone ? If we make this a difficult task for them, they will think twice before investing in expensive hardware and software to run their own limited version of a call center.
If you like taking unknown calls that's fine. You can waste their time and make a fool out of them if you have the time. I've had my fun with these calls, I even made many of them laugh. I guess I feel sorry for those who take these jobs to pester us. I don't feel sorry for the owner of a company who employs the technology as it is "their choice". It's a "confrontational" way of doing business. Example: The Carpet Cleaners call and offer $29.95 to clean the carpet in your home. When they arrive they stick you with additional costs. That is what I call a "confrontational business model" and many companies operate this way.
My final words are: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.- Caller: Cell Phone AZ
- SheriI work third shift and these people have woke me up out of much needed sleep 4 days in a row. There is never anyone on the other end, whether I pick up after the 2nd ring or 5th. I cannot shut off my phone, have been deailing with two very ill parents. I'm sick of it!!! I guess I'll be making that phone call to the AZ Attorney General's office also.
- Caller: ?
- MyrnaI continue to get calls from this number, and when I call back to have them remove my number from their calling list, the answering machine message says the caller has a mailbox that has not been set up yet. VERY annoying!
- kdwDidn't pick up. There are 4 - 5 calls on my directory.
- LSWCall came and I did not pick up the call. Tried to call back and see who it was and received the "Cell phone mailbox not set up" message. I am grateful for this site. Now I will not pick up the call and let them waste their time and money. I am on the No Call list.
