Called asking for donations for firefighters fund.

Do not give to organization that cold calls you like that -  they are a rip off and give the police and fire folks a bad name - let alone only giving very little $$ to the cause they are collecting for. Find a local charity to give to if you have too much money. By giving local you can see your donation in action. (This is just my opinion and does not reflect the view(s) of 800Notes)

Solicitation for generic "Firefighters Association".

Didn't answer. I don't answer phone calls from numbers not in my contact list. Blocked them. Glad to know the source of the caller. Thank you.

Man claimed to be part of Firefighter's Support Foundation. Wanted me to make a pledge, receive mail from them, and mail them a check. I asked for their website and he quickly ended the call. Checked online and it looks to be a scam.

Got a call from a man claiming to be from the fire fighters support whatever... at 10pm. I politely let him know that I am no longer a resident of Arizona and I now live on the east coast. Then, he hung up on me. It's a scam and it's a shame.

Just received a call from this number asking for a donation. After confirming the amount with the man,and telling him that I would pay in the mAil he transferred me over to a woman who immediately started asking for my information as well as my card number. Now they have my address because I thought I agreed upon sending a payment in the mail.. After reading other reviews If I get a letter asking for money I will just be throwing it away... scammers... also read an article from abc stating people were getting scammed in late 2015 by people claiming they were The firefighters association and raising money for burn victims.. Never agree to give money to strangers who call you on the phone.
As phone numbers can be spoofed, you never really know who is calling you.
The number of scammers is increasing, so it is best you stay local or communicate only with well-known regional and national charities - and only by mail.

This is a smart "bot". It's a type of interactive recorded call, at least the male voice seems to be. Delays in response time is a dead giveaway away. Plus no confusion if you give a nonsense answer. It's a scam.

Just got a call from "John" from the "Firefighters Support Foundation." Told him he could suck my [***] and eat my farts.

I totally did the same thing. Pretty awful of them to scam people using the families of firefighters as bait.

I received a call from this number  for a donation to the Firefighters Assistance Fund.  The guy named John wanted to know if i would donate $50  $75 or $100.  I told him i wanted to donate $1,000....but  i would send him a check in the mail.  I asked him for his mailing address to send the check to him.....and he immediately hung up the phone <-----this is the true sign of a SCAMMER.....he turned down my $1,000 donation because he was a  SCAMMER and he didn't have a mailing address . He just wanted my credit card number....but i'm not that stupid to give it to a stranger on the phone .

Just received a call on my cell phone. That is phone a number I do not give out to just anyone.  Canceled the call.  Did not answer.  After looking up 928-362-7396 on 800notes I see they have been harassing others.  Wish there was an easy way to stop these calls.  Blocking them now.

Asked for donation for firefighters found. I said I was interested in donating and that I would be happy to do just that at my local fire station. I asked if he could direct me to my nearest fire station. At this point the caller hung up. Scam for sure!

Asked for donation for firefighters families. He wanted a check for $100, $75,$50 or $30. I said what is the website I can donate from and he sad he would need to know my contribution first. He thendodny answer me...Scam for sure!
