Called me yesterday too.

They called me at 11:10am with no messages. Called back and it says "Hello You've reached Human Resources Administration at NYC. Please note the number you dialed is not in service to receive in-coming calls." Then it hangs up.

CallerID says "HRA City of NYC".  Left message reminding of follow-up job interview call.  Typical scum preying on people and phishing for personal information.

This is a verified number belonging to the Human Resources Admin of NYC. They're most likely calling in regards to a job interview or a SNAP application or Medicaid. Try and return the call!

I received the same call this morning. Was your call legitimate?

This is a call from the hra office when you've applied to receive benefits. They call to interview you or discuss your benefits.

The call is legit. It was an automated reminder for my mother's phone interview scheduled for tomorrow for SNAP benefit renewal, from NYC Human Resources Administration. They didn't leave any msg 1st time when I didn't answer. I picked up the 2nd time.

Not sure how legit they can be, they called on Sunday saying they would call my mother on Monday, then never called on Monday. then they said they reschedule. they called on Thursdays saying that they would call on Friday. then on Friday they never called.

It seems more like the result of these phone calls is just to allow for time to pass with the SNAP benefits, never get renewed.

The tape "called" saying that I have an appointment tomorrow and treatening me with court (?) if I do not show up.  However I drove my car at  that time.  I could not pick uop the address.  It seemed to me: 140 W broadway - I am no t certain. When I called back, I heard that is HRA.  That is not a call telephone. I found nothing related to HRA in internet at that address.

Received a call from this number this morning. Didn't answer it. Googled it and found this forum/thread.

From the first few messages I read, I have deduced that it was indeed a call in regards to a SNAP benefits 'phone interview' - one which I filled out an application for online two days ago, and opted for the 'Phone Interview' option.

So: It IS "legit," and, it's a gov't phone number - in regards to official city matters/business - good or bad, perhaps, depending on your particular situation.

P.S.: When I chose 'Non-profit Organization' from the 'Call Type' drop-down box below, you know what I mean/meant, yes?!

This number called my cell phone twice within the last 2 days and left a message in Spanish both times which I don't understand.

Received call from this # today 9:30 in morning waking me up I was so sleepy i could not find my phone in time to answer They did not leave message HRA would not be calling on a Sat. morning so I do not think this call is legit.

Seconded. It's a legitimate call- I applied for SNAP benefits and it's just a reminder for a telephone or in-person interview. Not phishing.

This is definitely HRA administration for recertification of Medicaid, SNAP, or other Public assistance you are receiving, such as social security, one shot deal cash assistance, or child support or TANF/WIC when falling on hard times. They are calling for followup interview reminder in the New York City area.

It's a one-way automatic message recording which are by computers. I was surprised to find out that HRA are open on Saturdays with a limited quantity of intact. The recorder called me on Friday for an interview date for Saturday. I went & it was empty, considering the huge crowd & long waits during week days, but they also sent a reminder by mail too for a required "in-person interview" with the same Saturday  date, which I took with me so it's legit.
