Received call but no message.  In the last 2 hours have received 7 either unknown caller or toll free calls.  I wonder if the are all connected some how.

Getting this call every day.  They let it ring 3 times and hang up.
Caller ID says NAME UNAVAILABLE  .  I never answer unidentifiable numbers.
No message so they are probably some kind of telemarketer.

Received call from number this number, did not recognize it, did not answer; blocked the number,
must be a telemarketer or scammer of some sort.

Didn't answer the phone.  Don't know this number.  *69 gets "SORRY THIS DIGIT IS NOT VALID"  That's all I need to know.  Will report to no mo ro bo.

I took this call only because I am on call this week and calls can come from many locations. I'm pretty sure I heard the tool on the other end however its now blocked.

This was a call from a scam-stating they were from Microsoft windows they have a lot of your info but want to get access to your computer.
If called tell them you are going to report to the authorities and hang up.  It is a scam---Microsoft never calls---you have initiate any call to them-don't get fooled

Claimed he was a Windows tech. support & my computer was reporting malware. He said virus programs do not prevent malware & non-window service could not repair the computer, only he & other windows techs. could. I refused of course.

Received a call from this number today. When I asked them to remove my number from their list and to stop calling, they just continued with their script about whether I owned a computer. When I asked if they understood English and what I was saying, they said yes they spoke English. I hung up and then they called back again. Did not answer.

This is a scammer saying that they are Microsoft, that we had a worm & malware in our computer and that virus protection couldn't help.  They wanted to take control of our computer to fix it - for $650 - which included one year of protection.  When I said that Microsoft doesn't call people about viruses, he said he was from Star Tech Solutions, a national company and member of the BBB, and they get reports from Microsoft.  Told him "no thanks" and hung up.  Area code 930 doesn't exist, so number was spoofed.  Also - sorry to report - Indian accent.
No opportunity to give correct call type, which was Scam.

This call came at 12:39 pm today. I did not answer because the call came on my cell phone, and I never give out my cell #, so I knew it was bogus. I will be filing a report with the Oregon State Attorney General's office, which is very good about nailing these guys.

This number - 930-854-8367 - came in @ 3:50 P.M.  Did not leave a message at end of reconrding. Name shown was "Name Not Found" - scammers - I don't pick up - waste of my time.

I have also received this call and they represent themselves to be from Microsoft.  They indicate a problem with your computer and want remote access to your computer.  Last time they called I told them I was a Microsoft Vice President in charge of technical servies and would like to talk with their superior.  Calls seem to have ended.  DO NOT EVER ALLOW ANYONE REMOTE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER.

Rec'd a call today, said my computer had downloaded 27 items that were BAD...... I laughed and hung up!

This person, claiming to be from Microsoft ,has called me twice. He has an Indian accent. It's a scam, told him that Microsoft doesn't make calls re maleware issues & hung up. He called me again tonight & hung up. Sick!!!!!!!!!

They are not telemarketers, they are scammers, and you are right to not answer either kind of call.  Good work.

Don't tell them you're going to report them, they know that is a hollow threat and they will never get caught.  They're laughing at you.  The FTC is weak, and cannot keep up with black hat expertise.  The best thing is to not pick up.  Check your caller ID and turn on your call screening feature.  Scammers don't leave messages.  Then come to a website such as this to confirm it is a scammer and that you were right to ignore the call.  You will feel very empowered using this tactic consistently.  You wouldn't open your front door to strangers knocking, or carry on polite conversation, so why would you "open the door" to strangers on your phone?  It's just as dangerous, whether they claim to be Microsoft or anyone else.  If you answer the phone, what these predators are thinking is that the number is a valid one, and you are gullible enough to answer.  I just got a call from this number, too, and can see here I was right that it was a scammer.

Keep getting these calls stating I have something wrong with my computer......so tired of this BS...thanks to all the idiots who fall for these scams, it keeps them trying for new idiots

I get this call frequently.  Most of the time I don't answer.  I have told the caller (male voice, foreign accent) that I don't own a computer...doesn't matter, calls keep coming.  I blew a police whistle into the phone one time, and the calls stopped for awhile.  Guess I will have to use the whistle again.
