Female caller asked for a "Mrs. [surname of the guy who had this phone number 1.5+ years ago]."  When I tell her about the outdatedness, she informed me that the number has been selected to win a 3-day luxury trip to Vegas or Orlando and that I might qualify if I'm part of a married couple between 21 and 70.  I hung up on her.

Got this call 12/1/2007 when answered there was the sound of "air" like a connection then it hung up

same as above ---caller id said "united" but no one answered

Get calls just about every day from this number. If I pick up, usually there's just clicks and will get a couple more calls every 20 minutes. I answered a couple of days ago and they asked for my husband. They were offering a free vacation or something.

Being blasted by this number everyday, 4 times a day, for the last week. Is there anything that can be done? This is a business number and it is taking time away from billable hours!

Ok, so someone finally was on the other end again after days of 2-3 calls a day. This is for a company called Star Travel. I played along and got a toll free callback number for them, it is 1-888-890-2999, when they pick up they say "Reservations". You will be able to remove your number from their list or just voice frustration that way.

Basically, they want you to attend a seminar which they claim isn't for a timeshare and then they give you a free vacation. You need to be married between 25-70 years old, US citizens and make over $40,000 a year. Both spouses must attend and you are not allowed to bring children.

The caller told me that the website address is yourtravel.net, that didn't work for me, but the 1-800 # he gave me is legit.

I have received at least 5 calls a day from this number and every time there is no one on the other end and then it hangs up.

My mom is getting calles from this number at least 4 times a day and is getting very tired of them hanging up on her. She wants her number blocked from them and wants to know how to go about it. Please give us the information to do so.

I am receiving calls from this number serveral times a day. It's starting to really piss me off!! I have been trying to call the number back. I let it ring until it goes busy and then try again just to see if anyone answers.

Does anyone know of any recourse for these people and their "free trip" BS? I am sick of the phone ringing and it being them hanging up on me because I have asked them to remove me from their calling list and have registered this new number (over 30 days ago) on the 'do not call' registry.

I just called the FCC national do not call list:

I have also been getting 4+ calls per day and work at home, so answer most of the time (no caller id).  I also just called the 800# someone above listed and asked to be removed from their calling list: 888-890-2999.

call- hangs up - repeat

Repeated calls from this number at varying times--morning, afternoon, evening.  Answer gets dead air, then static such as when other end disconnects.  Machine gets empty message.  Really annoying and suspect this is some kind of 'casing the joint' to find out when we are home.  Wish I could block this number.

Mike & Betty....This is actually a legit company, as long as you meet the qualifications & go to the 90 minute meeting you WILL recieve the vacation they are telling you about. The computer that does the actual dialing for them seems to be having some issues, it is not a person hanging up but a computer. The folks there are only trying to make a living and feed their families. Be nice to them & they will be nice to you.

Numerous calls from this number - my new trick is to create the name "DO NOT ANSWER" on my cell.  I added this number to my addresses and when it rings I see "DO NOT ANSWER".
