- Tamianth10:48 AM, rang 3 times. No message left on machine. I see its reported as windows tech call. LOL! Scam!
The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

- Johnsaid they were "windows technical support and my computer called them of an up coming security failure". and then wanted me to get in front of the computer and type CLSID in. I said "witch one notified you". He said "how many do you have?" I said "16 in the cellar running a data center". He then began repeating himself. I said "NO!, I don't know you and nothing gets typed in". I stated to them "Windows does not make random blind tech support calls, don't call here again", then I hung up. They would not answer simple questions like the end IP address or domain where the communication ended. This is the classic "CLSID scam" and it is based on a false fear for profit scam. I am a computer tech and this is the second time in six months that I have been called by them. My next stop Microsoft since the are using the name "Windows" or "Vindows" there maybe an infringement here.

- vicki| 1 replyI just got the call also - I had a VERY hard time understanding him and he said something about my computer running Windows was sending them messages or something like that. I questionned him on why he was calling on a work computer that is managed by my company IT department and he hung up. Very bizarre....
- Caller: no idea - would not say
- hghgdgg replies to vickiI also revd a phone call from these people. I had just woke up from my nap so I was still asleep but my eyes were open. They did ask me something about windows. Than they asked me about my computer. I told them my computer has been broke. She asasked me how long. I said about a year. Now I'm fully awake. A Couple of weeks ago my aunt had told me she had the samething happen. She didn't do anything just hung up on them. Now I'm thinking about what my aunt said. And I told the lady I was busy and hung up. The Lady did have a thick act sent and I could not really understand her. This truly is a scam. By the way I have restirted my cell phone with the natational no call list. Wonder how they got my phone number? Dont answer this call.
- A. M. C.I just got a aggressive scam-call on my cell phone today from phone number 937-250-0254. I could barely understand the guy since his accent was so acute that had to ask "What" so many times I can't count. He said that he was a Windows tech and wanted to warn me that in the past two weeks my computer had a error message indicating that it has a deadly virus on it which was going to destroy my computer. In any event, the guy told me the following scenario: . . . Word of warning: Do not fall for it, I just hung up on the guy after I told him my computer guy just looked at my computer yesterday. Then he had the nerve . . .to tell (yell at me) me that my IT guy is not an authorized WINDOWS tech so he would not know if I had a virus on my computer or not. Really?

- tracy| 1 replyGot a call claiming to be a windows tech. Very heavy indain accent. Called my cell phone. He asked me to go to my computer and he could prove my computer had a computer virus. I told him I wasn't near my computer at the moment, he said he would wait. I said I'm driving! Oh, when can I call back? I said, never, and hung up. He called back 1 hour later pressuring me to go to my computer again? (I put it onspeaker), my husband yells out, dont ever call this number again! Well they called again the next day. I didn't answer.

- Mike In AZI just got this call and asked where he was, he said Florida. When I asked where he was born he said India. I asked to speak with someone born in the US so I could understand what they were talking about he put me on first with someone who said "I am American" I asked where he was born since I still could not understand him he said Hungary. I said if you are in Florida their should be someone there who was born in the US and English was their first language. He said hold please and someone else came on and it was clear he was Asian. When I ask where he was born he said Japan. I ask again to speak with someone born in the US even if it was only the guy who sweeps the floor, and he said "I don't understand" I said if you are in Florida then you should have at least one person in the building that was born in the US. The next guy came on who was again clearly Indian and clearly the same person I spoke to first. When I called him on it he said I have not spoken to you before. I said "My A$$" he repeated that back me. I said caught you !!! A real Microsoft employee would never say that to a customer. He said oh I am very sorry for that sir I am only trying to help you fix your computer. Then he wanted me to go to a web site called WWW. JOIN something. I said I was not going to a site called JOIN until I know who you are so as soon as I receive something in the mail (Not E-mail) from Microsoft I will be happy to call them back, and in the future if you tall someone you are in Florida you should have a Florida phone number NOT Ohio like it says on my caller ID he hung up. Oh and 1 more thing all of the people that I spoke with while I jurked them around was the same person. The accent changed but the voice never did.

What is you scamming fools think you (or that we'd somehow believe Microsoft Tech's are supposed to) have? ESP? Some magical, mystical super powers? LOL! It's amazing you people can do anything ... like breathe, what with the empty space between your ears and no gray matter to speak of!
Oh and love your badly broken English and poor punctuation and capitalization skills too!!! Yet, more proof you boiler room dwellers haven't the capacity to do anything but reside in those boiler rooms of yours!
Truly pathetic and even more laughable ... - CWG40 replies to Jeanne smithYour Indian accent is so strong I could cut it with a knife.
- XYZReceived a call from this A**h***, with an Indian accent, stating he was calling from Tampa, Florida- his number said Dayton, Ohio. Same information as mentioned above- Microsoft tech.. He asks me same question- if I was "in front of my computer" and on more questioning states that "I should not worry" - his guts!! He will help fix everything (even though nothing is broken) - said he will call back in an hour - never did as I had already asked a lot of questions.. Lets see if he has the b**ls to call again...
- Caller: Microsoft Tech
- NoThese Indian folks really don't like the hot man-on-man dirty talk, they get all offended and swear.
- LarryWJust received a call from this number. Caller ID says Dayton OH. He said he was an IT tech and my computer was sending messages that I had downloaded viruses the last few days. Wanted me to sit at my computer and he would guide me through it, and I could see for myself. All in a heavy Indian accent. I told him my son was a computer guy, he'll look at tonight. His reply was.."Oh, you have computer guy. But problem is your son is not certified." I told him my son speaks better English, so good bye. "Hung up on his ass.
