Telemarketing, call the number "If you would like to be put on the do not call list, press 1".  Press 1, hangs up on you.

Spam callers from google

They claimed they wanted to verify my recent Google Plus account and to press "1" to speak to a rep.  I did, and when "James" asked me to verify my first name, I asked, "why are you guys calling me?" he hung up.

When you answer the recording says your Google Plus for your business needs to be verified. It goes on to say press 1 to speak to a rep. or press 2 to be removed from their list. I have been pressing 2 for 6 months and still get calls daily (sometimes 6-8 times in a day). After I pressed 2 to be removed today, I then called the number to yet again get another message saying if you want to be removed from THIS number calling press 1 now, (I want to be removed from all their numbers)  I waited to see if a rep would get on the line and the recording just kept repeating itself... very frustrating when trying to run a business and this recording calls in the middle of a payment. I'm calling the Attorney General today!

Seriously? You have been pressing 2 for six months, expecting to be removed from a scammer's database of live phone numbers to call and try to scam?

I realize if you're running a business you need to answer phone calls, but given that you are reporting on a specific number, it tells me you have caller ID so you can identify this caller before answering. Which, why?

If you are unable to get a call blocker, try the manual call-blocking system: you ID this number as in incoming call. You pick up and hang up immediately. By responding, pressing anything on your phone's number pad, you are verifying your phone number as available with a live person who can be scammed.

Yes, I have caller ID  but the problem is they call me from many different numbers  I have a list of several different numbers that they have called from, I have added all of them to the blocked call number list.  When I block that number they then start calling from a different number.   There is NO way that I can know its them again until I answer!   I have picked up and hung up several times a day and still they call.   I have done all I can do to stop them other than change my business number.  My point in posting here was to inform others as I have not posted any info on these numbers before.

While reading the comments above I see that are calling you all. My situation is different they are texting me about some tools or something I do run a business but not a retail store, very broken English in the text and like with any scammer he ahrees to pay full price sight unseen and all that garbage even though im not selling anything and even if I was that would be a huge red.flag. I guess these people know no bounds on there attemps to scam anybody just hoping that one unsuspecting poor dope will agree to their shenanigans beware
