Wichita Falls, TX on caller ID. Ignored it, then blocked it.

Call fro Texas left no message

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone. I ignored it because I did not recognize the number. No message left.

They didn't leave a message so I called back, got an automated answer that ONLY gives to option to be removed from calling list,  So call the number back and select "1".

Continual calls - never a message - I'm on "do not call" lists - but this keeps happening.

Just got a call from this number and looked on here to see what others said. I called and got the automated voice and pressed 1 so I would not get any more calls. Is it a business? Does anyone know?

Was an automated message for an offer of lower interest rates on "your credit card". Decided to find out more so pressed 9 to be transferred where I talked to a man with a very heavy accent in what sounded like a crowded room. He said they're working with Via Mastercard and all of the major US banks to get me lower interest rates. Wouldn't tell me who he worked for other than "cardmember services". Lots of question skirting but apparently he's in Atlanta Georgia. Couldn't tell me which card I had, but wanted the expiration dates of the cards I wanted lower rates on. After enough poking and prodding trying to get information out of him he hung up on me.

Automated message saying press 9 to speak to a representative and get 0% APR on existing credit card balances. Heavy accent (i do have a thick accent, but not like theirs), bad connection, and a lot of people speaking on the background (so many red flags in a few minutes).
Since I was taking a break from work, I decided to play along. Gave them fake balances and APRs and fake bank issuers. After being transferred to the guy's "supervisor", he said he was calling from Georgia (he couldn't even pronounce it decently).
I told him my CC was a visa, and he said he already had my information. He said my CC # started with a 4 (all visas start with a 4) and then asked me for my CC#.
I kept him on the line for 20 minutes as he was trying to convince me he was legit. After he got frustrated, he said i'd miss a great opportunity, to which I said, he'd miss stealing my information.
I told him he had a pretty accent,m and he said so did I and hung up.

Called my wireless number, left no message.

Called on my cell. Left no message. My number is on the Do Not List.

I had the exact same experience, except when they asked me which card had the higher balance, I said "If you can see I have high balances on my cards YOU should be able to tell ME which card has the highest balance". The caller (female) then said "Your Discovercard". When I told her "I don't even have a Discovercard" she knew she had been exposed as a crook and hung up on me! I am reporting this to the fraud division of the FBI!

Got multiple calls of this number. Called back, had the option to press 1 to enter the do not call list. Did this at least 5 times. Still getting those calls.

This unrecognized number called my cell phone and did not leave a message.
I've been on state and federal the do-not-call lists since day 1.
Blocked it.

Apparently "Rachel from Cardholder Services" has a new scam going now.
They're also falsifying the apparent incoming phone number visible with Caller ID.
411.com shows that the incoming number is a VOIP (Voice-Over-Internet-Protocol) number originating from Sheppard Air Force Base located in Wichita Falls TX.

Pressing '1' only confirms to these scammers that they have reached a valid number and they will continue to call you (or perhaps sell a list of these valid numbers to someone else).

STRATEGY:
Most phones have Caller ID. If you don't recognize the number, do NOT answer it.
Block the calls if your phone allows that. Most cell phones do.
Most phones also have voicemail.
If it is truly important, like your work, a relative, or the police, they will absolutely leave a message and probably also call back.

Use websites like this to look up unknown numbers and leave helpful notes for others!

Keep getting calls.   I'm also on the Do Not Call List and still getting them.

I get this call every two weeks.  It is from some foreign call center.  They want to help me "get lower interest rates" on my Master Card and Visa.  I kept this little foreigner on-the-line for about 20 minutes, using the voice of a little old lady, and zinged him with questions about my existing accounts... questions I knew he had no answers to.  I led him to the brink of thinking he had a sucker, then I asked him another question that he could not answer.  I did this over-and-over until he got frustrated and hung-up on me.  I'm sure he will be lashed at the end of his shift for not succeeding in ripping me off.

Just got a call from this number. Smartphone caller ID said it was from Wichita Falls, TX. SPAM. Grateful the "add to reject list" option!

No message...very early morning call...when called back a recorded ladys voice gives u the option of opt out. Tried 9 to get someone but the recording just continues for 4 tries and then disconnects.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.
