Lady called to say lights will be turned off in 20 mins and asked for debit/credit info to keep lights on. Card information was given then lady said all card machines are down except American Express and ask if I held that card. I said no then she said I could go to Walmart and pay in cash to Netspend Account #529263206849 within the next 20 mins to keep lights on. I knew then something was wrong. I disconnected the call and cancelled the debit card. Be ware of Cheryl Kaana (caller id name) 940-399-4215 or Shenice Jones ID# 143326.

The person called from 940-399-4215.  The person said her name was Cathey .  "Your electric bill has not been paid we are getting ready to turn your power off right now".  Its 101 degrees today.

Same thing here...call from 940-399-4215 Kaanna Cheryl, someone saying power was to be turned off soon on our whole block and would not be turned back on until payment was made.  The caller spoke with my elderly mother and asked her if she was home alone...very disturbing.  My mom said that the caller sounded like a young man.  She realized it was a scam call and hung up, thank goodness.

Called stating electricity was going to be cut off.  Wanted to know how I paid my bills.  Didn't want to give me time to go get my file with information.  Realized the electric company would not be calling me at 10 PM at night and she could not provide an address for the home.  Called her back and told her I would be reporting it to the fraud department of the police department.

Just as noted numerous times on this site and on other sites, this woman called us at 5:39 PM today to say the electric company was getting ready to turn off our power because we hadn't paid our electric bill.  Obviously, the next step would have been to get a credit card number etc.

Her name is Cheryl Kaanna and she  lives in Decatur, TX.  Kinda makes you wonder what the Decatur PD has to do that's so important it can't arrest this woman as she continues to prey on the elderly or otherwise vulnerable.
