Missed the call; no message was left. If this is really from Florida State Troopers, why are they calling ME?—I live in California!

You can probably guess this is an insincere charity, however, the 'Florida State Troopers' is likely used to trick you into thinking you're giving to a good cause, regardless. This character is probably calling because you've made a sucker list or they know there's an answer at your number. I'm further east of California, but I had a joker claiming to be in NJ calling for my home state trooper's Assoc. In truth, you're donating to the solicitor.

I got a call from this number, with a real live person on the calling end. She said "Hi, This Becky from Senior Benefits......" same number, different solicitor. Some kind of senior insurance, most likely a scam. I told her I didn't need any senior benefits and hung up.  I thought that since today was the Missouri primary election, the calls would stop. Got rid of a bunch of people pimping politicians, and now the scammers have started up again. You know, they used to hang horse thieves. Too bad we can't do the same for all these unwanted telemarketers, and other associated scum.

Calling from Bradenton Florida.  Has call several times this week at least 3 times a day.  I live in Ohio...why would I give to Florida State Troopers.  Absolutely a scam.

The call is a scam, they say they are with the Florida Trooper Association. This does not exist, except for the scammers. It is in no way connected with the Florida Highway Patrol or any other law enforcement agency. I know this because I have asked several state troopers who have never heard of it. Tell them to mail you info.

I also looked at another site and they described this call as a nonfixed VOIP number in Bradenton, Florida.  They also had a map of where the call originated and a picture of an open field without any structures.  It is, without a doubt, fraud.  They have been added to my call blocker.

You think that $70K is a lot of money for a supervisor?  Or, $50K for someone that puts their life at risk every day that they go to work?  Try paying rent/mortgage and raising a family on this money.  It's very modest.

First, it depends on where you live.  Second, those people only ever see pennies of that money since the telemarketer keeps most of it for "expenses".  I can tell you this.  Unless you are living somewhere like New York City or San Francisco, then 70 grand is more than adequate to pay those bills, assuming you stop living above your means.

Try a call blocker. One which enables you to block entire area codes is quite beneficial.

Calling for money to "Help" State Troopers.  Most of my family is in Law Enforcement many for the State of Florida - They told me that less than .05 of 1% actually makes it to "Help Law Enforcement . If you really want to help Police Officers I would find a reputable Charity to donate to.
