I keep getting calls from these Indian/Middle Eastern sounding men and they always imply this is a legal matter blah blah blah and that if I don't return the call... I have been getting these calls for almost a year and its soooo annoying. Are these people scammers?

I also received a call today from a Middle Eastern sounding man whom implied that it  is a legal matter, have my attorney contact him by the end of the day...If I don't... blah blah blah but no real information relating to the matter. What was clear is that a message verbally threatening my well being  with bodily harm was clear. One thing for sure... any ill harm that could possibly be done to me won't increase chances of collecting anything even if it could be valid that I owe anything... Whom ever it is needs to be stopped by police and attorney general.

I just received the same exact call today.  Same exact phone number and an indian middle eastern sounding man.  Saying the same stuff about a legal matter, but exact something about some cash advance "American Cash".  And that due to the discretion of his client, he cannot give me the contact number.  Sounds like a PHONY!  Needs to be stopped by police and attorney general.

I got a call about a month ago from ca. I asked them what this was all about. They said financial frauld and I started arguing with the guy and he hung up on me. Now today got a call from fl. same guy saying that I need my lawyer to contact him about a payday loan that I didn't pay back. Well I dont do payday loans. After 3 more attempts to call me and one was about 20 minutes ago. They told me my payday loan was over $5000. Boy I wish I had $5000 in my bank account right now. And it's a [***] just like yall are saying but the first call told me the law would be here monday to pick me up, the second time i answered they said within 24 hrs. Learned my lesson for putting my info online. THIS IS A SCAM AND NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!!!  btw I was supposed to have go a payday loan from cashworld payday loans... never have heard of them.

This number keeps calling me, continuosly back to back.

I received the same call from some indian guy he called my work phone non-stop. He is lucky we are not in the same room, he was very annoying.

This is a version of the you-have-committed-a-crime extortion scam and you are being...
1. summoned/investigated/charged/whatever with fraud/embezzlement/passing_bad_checks/whatever or
2. served with a court_summons/arrest_warrant/bench_warrant/whatever or
3. located in preparation to_being_served/for_a_lawsuit/to_be_arrested/whatever or
4. sued for cable TV usage that you've been stealing for years or
5. whatever stupid crap reasons they will think up next.

And you have to...
1. call back with your case number or
2. confirm your address/birthdate/SSN/whatever so you can be served or your papers processed or
3. pay $895 now to avoid paying $5,000 in court or
4. whatever stupid crap reasons they will think up next.

Beware extortion scams come in many flavors and they constantly evolve to stay one step ahead of the law.

They call me every day saying their a law firm that is prosecuting me for Cashworld loans because it didn't pay back 400 dollars and now I owe 1000 now. They said that of I didn't pay the police would come to my job and pick me up. It's an Indian guy named Male Rush who continues to leave messages saying that if I don't return the call or have a attorney all he can wish me is "good luck" and he sounds like the guy who says it on the movie Taken. It kind of makes me laugh but I talked to a lady one day and asked why I hadn't gotten anything in the mail pertaining to court and she said she could talk to the company and get me an extension. Then I asked what the number to the company was and she said she couldn't disclose because of conflict of intrest. When I asked the man Male Rush the same questions he Hung up on me and called back and asked in a scary voice " why did you hang up". Im going to report them.

Recieved a missed call yesterday evening.  Did not leave a voicemail.  I will be blocking this number, they won't be able to call back!

I have now received two calls from a Middle Eastern/Indian sounding man who each time given a different name but sounds the same and today his name is John McClain and the issue is important and time sensitive, and our attorney needs to call and he doesn't he can only wish us the best of luck and blah blah I am tried of the threating phone calls and this person needs to be stopped. He leaves messages but doesn't leave any information other than threating

I have been getting harrassing message from this company stating they are filling legal suite against me and I'm going to jail. They keep claiming I took out a pay day loan that I never did and now I'm going to jail. I asked for their address and where they are located and she said "The law suite is against you not me and the police are coming to get you tomorrow and hung up on me".

Just got a call from this # this afternoon, from an Austin Black. He threatened me, saying that I owed money from a USBANK cash advance. Stated that if I did not pay today they would send an officer to arrest me from my place of employment, when I told them I no longer worked he said they would be at my home tomorrow with handcuffs, and then told me my address. They knew a lot of information which is what got me. They told me my address, ss#, and my place of employment. I would not give them any $, and finally Austin Black hung up on me. They were rude, threatening, and just plain mean. I filed a complaint with the FTC and Attorney General , which I hope many others of you will do. The # they called from was 941-357-7975

I got the same call today from the same #... and they are telling the same things they are telling you people.. i did a phone history report on the number and its a cell number from FL.. i called the bbb and files a complaint..

Mr. Calvin Steven from Marc Jones Legal Association. Need to return call asap or other wise legal matters will be taken against me. Caller would not give any information as to what the legal matters were at the time. Hung up.  Called again about one hour later said was a debt with USABank. and he need some personal account information I then hung up.

these guys are very creative. just take a minute to think about what they are asking you to do. remember you are smarter then them. 941 357-7975 is totally a fraud. don't fall for the threats.

After harassing me yesterday, they did once again today! I told them to stop calling me and that I have reported them to the BBB FTC and the Attorney General! Austin Black finally got so mad at me that he hung up, I hope that somebody gets these people! They need to be stopped, so scary. I reported them to the police and also called my cell carrier and had them block any calls from their number. Check with your cell carrier and they may be able to black them from you.

This is a scam do not entertain this call or the person who calls from this call. They make up this all phony stories and try to get real information from you.
... Dont get me wrong but this calls are from INDIA (I feel ashamed as being an Indian as well) But like they say, not all five fingers are same. I studied hard, and became an Computer engineer but yet there are some who are into scams.

i got a call monday night at work saying there are criminals charges on me and that the police are coming to my work to arrest me on friday because i didnt pay a cash advance back from american cash i told the man who claims his name is travis hall he said i could make payment arrangements but i had to wright a letter and make copies of my cdl,social number, bank card number and fax it to him so after i got off the phone with him i went online to see this american cash loan company there is one but they have no record of me so i went to my bank they somehow got a hold of my bank info and tried to get money out the bank closed my account reopen a new one so i have changes everything i can think of we are all victiums we all stick together threw this im so greatful for this web site and the lady at the bank that helped me IT IS A SCAM!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL
