Received a call from this number on my cell phone purportedly from "IRS--Internal Revenue ServiceS" (If you are going to try a scam, at least get the department's name right!!) It was to inform me that "IRS is filing suit against you."  Big time scam!!  IRS will never call you unless you have called them first and are to be called back.

Forgot to mention -- the caller ID stated call originated from Venice Florida.

I just got this call too. When I got as far as to tell them the method of payment they demanded (I do owe and I've been working on paying my balance down so I was a bit freaked out) they simply told me a sherif would be on his way to arrest me. So freaky!!!

I just received a recorded call from this number stating that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me too.  I'm getting a refund, so I wasn't worried and knew this was a scam.  Very annoying though...

I got this call a few minutes ago and then checked it out online,  No message!  I won't answer any calls without knowing who they are first.  Too many political callers lately! 941-800-8836 from Venice, FL

Just got a cell phone call from this number.  Recorded message that the IRS is filing suit.  Total scam, do not call back.

I just received the same call from Venice, FL leaving a VM saying to callback 941-800-8836 because the IRS is filing a lawsuit again me....lol

Just got a recorded voicemail because I didn't pick up the call.......Total scammers.... I owed this year and the IRS already took their money.

I got a call saying that they are filing lawsuit against me, this is the second call from a bogus number saying that they are suing me!  I am paying down a balance so I was very freaked out, but the minute I asked them to send me the information on the lawsuit they started fumbling and hung up on me!  SCAM PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM MONEY!!

They demanded money

I just called back and told them I reported them to the local sheriffs and the IRS and the guy started laughing out loud then hung up on me

This number is a scam 941-800-8836. Forward to real IRS Office. FYI -THE IRS NEVER MAKES ANONYMOUS CALLS
