Got a call from an Edward mclaine stating it was an attorneys office, las week i got these calls too, which i was told horrible things. So i told them to stop calling and he said i better listen. I told them that i was not going to listen and if he felt that he had a case against me to go ahead and take me to court. then he got mad and called me a b**ch so i hang up

some guy name Dexter Brown with a very thick accent called with threats that i was named in some legal action and i took his number but i already know it is a scam.

I also rec'd a most upsetting call from Dexter, (didn't get last Name)  I was told I owe all kinds of money and that I will rec'd a supeona at work

Yes, I received a call from this telephone number from a Jim Anderson.  The ID on my phone registered CAPISTRANO V, CA at 3:03pm Friday 22, 2011.  This Jim person informed me that I needed an attorney because I has committed some Fraud.  This is not the first time I got this call.  I received several calls from this number back in late February early March indicating the same thing.  Back then it was a different representative every time and they want to settle out of court with either $780.00, $630.00, $850.00 and the amounts went on and on.  I reported this to my States Attorney General Office and I informed them that I had reported them to the authories.  On my last conversation with them I was cursed out also.  Now this morning Monday July 25, 2011 at 10:28am cst I received another call on my cell from that number.

Just got another call from this number - I was scammed 2 months ago because the call was so scary - these people are ruthless and continue to call my home and work. I've informed my employer and the local plice. I've also contacted the States Attorney General Office. If you receive a call from these fake guys with thick accent - just hang up! Arguing will only make you madder. They get nothing from me but static!!!

I am receiving calls from this number.  This man's name is Alex.  I also received calls a few months ago from a different person but the same number and same demand for money because I am being investigated for fraud.  They claim they are with a law firm, but you can hear all these conversations going on in the background like it's a telemarketing center.  Each person has a foreign accent.  I contacted my attorney and she has discussed it with another attorney.  They are sure this is a scam that is supposedly being investigated by the FBI.  She told me to contact the major credit bureaus and put a fraud alert on my credit profile.

I got a call from this number, the representative's name was Michael St. Clair, yesterday also stating that I named in a fraud and that his officers would be coming to my home or my place of work.  As soon as I refused to speak with him and gave him my attorney information he got pissed and hung up.

I am receiving harassing calls from this number claiming I have a lawsuit against and all kinds of bad things are going to happen....sounds just like all the other entries posted here. They have been calling me for months!! As of yesterday they have started calling my brother to get a hold of me.

I continue to receive harassing call telling me I am being sued for wire fraud and other unpaid debt, Gave name of Lloyd Davis, Thick accent, very rude, yelling, accusing and threatening legal action if I don't send them money right now....These people have resited my personal information, like employer, bank account, soc sec, email address.  They have called my office, home, friends a number of time. They have threated to come to my place of employement.This has gone on since February of 2011.  Not sure how to get rid of these SCAMMER.

they have called me for couple months and i told them i would see them in court. my attorney contacted them and they would not give any information about themselves. so dont pay any money its bs and they will get whats coming to them

Lloyd Davis stirkes again! He was calling My cell phone asking for my best Girl Friend...after I told him this was NOT her # and quit calling, I have asked to be removed asa contact 4 times...He began to yell at me...Now it wasn't her that was in legal trouble...it was me! I asked him what is MY name? If im in legal trouble, send me something...the simpl SOB asked me for my address!? LMAO! Yeah ok..DUH, I told him to shut up, I was on to his scam, and thet I had reported this # and his name to the FBI....AND SIR, This phone call is being recorded for "Quality perposes".....he hung up! Go figure! Terrorists via cell phones.....DON'T SEND THEM ANYTHING, or tell them any info...laugh at them, it REALLY makes them mad! ;0P~~~~~

IN FACT THEY SCARED ME YESTERDAY SAYING I NEEDED TO SEND THEM A FAX WITH ALL MY INFO SAYING I HAD TO APOLOGIZE TO INSTACASH AND PROMISE TO PAY THEM ON THE 12TH OF AUGUST. I DID DO AN ONLINE PAYDAY LOAN WITH INSTACASH. SO THEYRE THREATS SOUNDED REAL TO ME. SAID I WOULD BE ARRESTED AT WORK OR HAVE SOMEONE COME TO MY HOME AND SERVE ME. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO WAS REALLY SCARED.

YEAH I GOT A CALL OR CALLS FRO THEM YESTERDAY SAYING THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT ME FOR A WHILE CAUSE I DID A PAYDAY LOAN ONLINE FROM INSTACASH FOR 850 DOLLARS. AND I REALLY DID. SO THE THREATS FROM DEXTER BROWN SOUNDS REAL TO ME. SCARED ME IN FACT THEY WANTED ALL MY INFORMATION FAXED TO THEM WITH IN 30 MIN AND ON THE FAX I HAD TO APOLOGIZE SAYING MY INTENTIONS ARE TO CLEAR THIS UP OUTSIDE OF COURT OR I WILL BE ARRESTED AT WORK OR SOMETHING ELSE. AND I HAD TO SEND MONEY IF I DID IT BY AUGUST 12TH THEY WOULD KNOCK IT DOWN TO 745 DOLLARS. ADN THAT IT WAS GONNA ALSO AFFECT MY CREDIT SCORE AND THAT ALL THE CALLS WERE BEING MONITORED AND THEY BELEIVED ME TO BE A GENUINE LADY AND WERE GIVING ME A CHANCE TO PAY THIS. SO I AM TRUELY SCARED. HOW DO I FIND OUT IF THIS IS REALLY A SCAM. I HARDLY GET ONLINE SO WAS HE SAID ALL THIS WAS IN MY INTACASH AGREEMENT AND HE GAVE ME AND RVC NUMBER IF I REALLY THOUGHT THIS WAS A SCAM. HELP! If he told u that u was going to go to jail. He was liying to u there is no such thing as going to jail for having debt. If he had a ragehead acent it was a fake. I have a payday loan i called them and they told me that the phone number is not a california number because california area code is 550 not 949. I have a number Department Homeland Security.

Major SCAM artist looking to take your identity

I got a similar message regarding an apartment at UBC. I had a weird feeling about it especially since the picture of the building they sent was not what the building actually looked like. I've flagged the original ad on Craigslist. Unfortunately I did exchange a few texts but hopefully that won't hurt too much!

Thank god for this site or else I never would've known for sure!
