This is a scammer trying to scam cars off Craigslist from over 1000 miles away.

100% Scam, the old "pay by PayPal and have a service pick up the car" scam.

Another Scamming Dooshbag busted by RPM Scambuster.

I just posted a kegerator and this 949-393-3000 number texted me saying that the were military and would trust what I said about it and wanted to buy.  Said they needed my zip code so they could see how much a hauler would cost to pick it up.  I asked how they would plan on paying for it if they weren't local.  I haven't heard back and something in the text made me not trust them so I search for the number and found this post.  Thanks so much RPM Scambuster.

I had exactly the same response to an ad for a car.  The texts just didn't seem right.  The guy also said he was military and wanted to pay through PayPal and wanted the zip code to see how much a car hauler would be.  Very interesting.  Thanks!

okay sounds good i ll take it i have read and understand the posting so please let me have the zip code where it is for me to forward it to my Hauler to calculate how much it will cost me for the pickup.i will not be able to come and see it due to the nature of my job as a military officer as am been camped and i hope i won't regret buying this from you?. exactly  same, made it sound much like a struggling military man, wanting to be sure it was a good car, it is not running, that did not matter to him.
