They send me a text from this number As Mrs.Felicia Gary from AK steel holding company to set up an online interview through Google hang outs with Mr.Roland Cliff of HR...and at first I thought it was true but kinda fishy that they texted me. They ands ked questions and said I got the job and that they would send me a check.. I called the actual company and they said they don't hire like that and those people don't even work there.

I just got out of that too. There were a few red flags that I felt and I knew it was too good to be true. I had the same experience as Jessica. I backed out at the last minute because Roland wanted me to sign on tomorrow at 8am (Saturday) when he previously said the job was for M-F. I also mentioned that I would need to give 2 weeks notice to my current employer. Terrible.

Yup, just got the same message. Thanks for posting about it. People have nothing better to do than try and scam people looking for work.

I got this message from Mrs. Felicia Gary but from a different number and different company.  It came from 857-264-5737 and for company Irvine Pharmaceutical Services.  Watch out.

Text from 857-264-5737 as it was sent (including typing errors/incorrect punctuation):  "Good day __________. I hope that you are doing great! I am Mrs Felicia Gary, I am the Director of Quality Control and Employee Compliance of ((IRVINE PHARMACEUTICAL SERVICES), I am contacting you in regards of your resume, Let me know once you get this message ..Thank you"

THIS IS A SCAM.  No reputable company that is seeking a candidate to fill a role would go about contacting via a text on a Saturday morning.  Please be wise and pay attention to the little idiosyncrasies that set off alarm bells (aka instincts) when a company or recruiter contacts you in such an unprofessional manner.  Research, research, research (company name/number/person's name) BEFORE you even consider replying to such a text (and still refrain from replying).

They're still at it.  From (408) 899-5265 / 408-899-5265.  The initial text had my full name.  When I answered this is what was sent.
