    I've been getting the same tax texts. I have a suspicion though. I recently put an ad up on Craigslist and it had my number on it. I'm wondering if my number was harvested from  my ad.

    Text message about "Do you owe more than $10,000 to the IRS..."
    Called ATT and they were willing to reverse charges.  Can't do anything about blocking text messages from specific numbers (Why should they?  They get paid for each of those text messages).  Did advise to text "stop" back to the offending number, but hesitant to because that could increase the messages from them.  Same exact text message from 949 945-3679

    Spam text about the IRS.  It's a joke that the phone company won't help block these since they profit from the abuse of their system.  They've setup a system where they benefit from spam and we pay.  AT&T is a horrible company, it's no wonder their reputation is awful.
