- hdtvguyCaller ID suspiciously says "UNKNOWN NAME." Answered after second ring, and got dial tone. This must be one of those two-ringer telemarketers.
- KHCaller ID shows "Out of Area". No message left. Definitely another telemarketer.
- Larry LambThis guy has forgotten how many times he calls me, he won't give his number or who he talks for, I give him zero information. He has been calling for over a year. He want my credit card number to lover my interest rate, but my phone gets his number.
- Randallstown 1| 2 repliesClaims to be a Microsoft technician to deal with a computer problem that I don't have by trying to take over my computer. This happens countless times, I'm sure to me and to others by folks claiming to represent companies thwey don'e even work for. I ask them not to call but it does no good, nor does reporting it to sites like this. They just call from another number.
- Caller: Bogus claims that bare untrue
- Germantown, MDSome clown with what sounds like an Indian accent called to advise me that a technician working on the Windows server noticed that my computer is infected by a computer virus. This fellow must be new at scamming because he seemed stymied when I told him I used a Verizon server, not a Windows server. When I asked him, repeatedly "how do you know my computer has a virus; what is the source of you information?", all he could do was repeat that my computer was connected to the internet and the Microsoft router showed that my computer was infected with a virus. Then, he asked if I would turn on the computer and click on the START button on bottom left side of screen.
Just for fun, I said "What makes you think my start button is on the lower left side of the screen? Do you even know which version of Windows I'm using?" Then, he guessed I was using Windows 8 and I told him he was wrong, to guess again and he said Windows 7. That's when I told him I didn't have time to play this game with him, that it was time for him to move on to the next prospect because I preferred not to be scammed today. There was a silence for almost half a minute, during which time I assumed he was muting his phone and asking the trainer next to him how to proceed from this point. Apparently, his answer must have been "This is when you just hang up." Can you imagine the rudeness of this scammer? He never said "goodbye"!- Caller: Microsoft, allegedly

- JimReceived two calls on March 21, 2015 Voice with a foreign accent stated that "microsoft" had detected a virus in my computer. I asked him how and he didn't answer directly, just wanted me to turn on my computer. I asked him what company he represented and he was vague. Looking at above comments they are targeting Maryland this month. BEWARE of this guy.
- Caller: Micrsoft
- Mikejust got a call from this [***] clown, I said hello and then waited for a response ... nothing ... then he finally hung up.
- HBReceived two calls from this number today. On the first call, a foreign man claimed to be a Microsoft technician, but I cut him off and requested he remove my number from his list. Then he kept repeating something that sounded like "I love you". Next call went to my Do Not Answer contact (basically ignore) and now it's on my phone's blacklist. Microsoft does not contact people unless it's a result of a direct inquiry (and then it would most likely be by email).
- Caller: supposedly Microsoft
- Not Born YesterdayReceived two scam calls today. This number is a MagicJack number, so it's likely being used by scammers in India.
- Caller: Scam
- Rod replies to Randallstown 1Thanks for the info he said it was a emergency call to fix my Windows problem.
I said "which operating system?" And he hung up
Lmao
I like having fun with them, ask him if he is from the USA and where did he get the accent - Fedd UppLike other recent reports, this foreign bozo called my cell phone. Received a call on March 12, 2015. Voice with a foreign accent, perhaps Indian or Pakistani, stated that he was with Microsoft who had detected a virus in my computer. I asked him how and he stated "Every time you log on the server it detects it." He just wanted me to turn on my computer. I asked him what company he represented and he again state "Microsoft." No such calls are ever made from Microsoft and this is a ripoff artist wanting you to turn on your computer while the bozo is on the phone with you. They are targeting Maryland this month. BEWARE of this guy.
- Caller: scammer

- Really?!Same as what I've read here. Today some idiot with a accent telling me he's from microsoft and a virus was detected. When I said I didn't call them about any problems he just said my computer is on. Well that's funny, it's sitting right next to me, off. But I told him I'm sure my Norton would detect any problems so please erase my number from your list and never call again.
- Caller: "Microsoft" scam
- replacing window paneThe idiot called while I was actually replacing a widow pane on the shed. He said he was calling from Windows to repair my computer. I ran with the subject on my mind which was to clean up the few last pieces of broken glass in the gravel. I had all kinds of fun asking about UV rating, low-E, and etc. Too bad he was not very interested in my repair. Oh well!
- Scamming call centerIndian guy calling from a call center claiming to call to help with a computer virus. His accent was so bad, I asked if he needed help with his computer virus. *Hung up*
Hopefully no one falls for this silly scam. - [***] headThis guy is an annoying [***] head and I'm gonna ask the police to trace this call. :)
- AnonymousDon't give them any info! They call every day! Today he said my Microsoft program had a dangerous virus and he wanted me to give him access to my computer along with credit card info to fix it. Indian Accent just like the people calling claiming to be the IRS
- Kay WieandThe Micosoft Tech scam again telling me I had viruses. But he called my cell phone!
- Caller: Microsoftt
- Call type: Prank
- Germantown, MDSame clown called back again, saying he represents Microsoft Technical Support, which never makes outgoing calls and after he introduced himself, he said "I am calling about a problem with your computer, OK?"
I replied "It is not OK" and this guy hung up, again. I think next time, I may play along a bit more, especially since I know he keeps calling with the same caller ID number. I'll see how long I can keep him on the phone, playing along to waste his time and after he gets super frustrated that I can't seem to follow instructions that allow him to capture my computer, I'll just laugh at him and tell him to get a real job, before I hang up on him.- Caller: allegedly Microsoft
- Call type: Prank
- MarcBKeeps calling my home and cell phone. Thick accent tells me he is with Microsoft and wants to fix a problem with my computer. Tries to get you to go to a web site and give him a credit card for the work. Accused him of being a scam and he hangs up.
- Caller: Says Microsoft
- AceReceived a call, just now on my cellphone from some pathetic crook. Similar to above stories, he claimed that he is a "Microsoft Technician", and his server is logging a ton of messages from my computer because it is infected with several viruses. Looked like he had an accent, I told him to get lost, and I hung up. Have no time for stupidity. I also blocked his number from repeat calls. He probably had no clue about Windows OS Versions, Antivirus apps, and was clueless about the fact that Microsoft would not know my cellphone number in the first place.
