Some dumb kid said his name was Jeremy. Claims he's w/Shoreline. Wanted to know what we do, and then said he had Cisco equipment really cheap. - Yeah right, more like "hot". Based on various searches no reverse lookup on this kid - presumably running a scam from his home. Call emanated from Capistrano Valley, CA.

I told the jerk we're not interested, and to drop us off of his junk call list.

His call came in at 12:46 PM, but I didn't get to posting it until now. I've got better things to do, during the day.

Just got a call from some guy asking for me under my internet name I use to fill out various forms so I don't get spammed.

So I called back the number and did a search in there directory.  The guys name is Jeremy Stone.    So Maybe a simple Zaba.com search could locate this guy.

Brad at Stillwater Communications wants to sell me (stolen?) Cisco gear.

Voice message was very unhelpful and misleading.

I was called several times by him as well. I did speak with him however. Brad works for Stillwater who is a third party distributor for Cisco equipment. They are a valid company, not gray market. It really depends on what you or your business does. We aren't interested because we are only Small Business. Cisco partners resell product they buy through the channel. This way they can offer points and promotions to other resellers. It keeps it in the chain. They work with the major distributors like Tech Data, Comstor Ingram and ect.

It is not 'stolen' Cisco gear; Stillwater is a Cisco vendor.  I don't work for Stillwater but my company sells Cisco products (we are one of their Gold Partners) and we deal with Stillwater on a regular basis.

The guy called for the IT Manager. He was calling from Stillwater Communications. He has called in the past and both the purchasing and IT manager have clearly stated that they are not interested. But he keeps calling us.

Cold called, probably by perusing Linked In, looking for target job titles.

This is Brad from Stillwater Communications.  He is very persistent, never give him a phone number that you cannot automatically forward to voicemail.  Working for a Cisco partner, we are not allowed to purchase Cisco gear from Stillwater, as they are not an authorized distributor.  I don't care where they get the gear or how cheap or whatever it is.  I cannot resell their equipment to my customers.  However, Brad doesn't take no for an answer, so now Brad automatically gets dumped to a never listened-to voice mailbox.  He's been calling for well over 2 years now.
