i received an email from a Nancy Brown  using very foul language and CLAIMING that my company owes her company money. She also threatened "Please refund the total amount or be f****d in a Court of Justice." and also included some bogus document claiming it was the payment confirmation invoice. She also claimed to have just called and spoken to me. REALLY??? interesting since MY phone has not rung all day. meh yep i will ignore any calls from this number - nope not a customer so NEVER made a payment to MY company.

Received the same email from "Nancy Brown". Have not spoken to her and definitely not a client.

I also received the same email as dontgothere 6 minutes ago with the same text and asking me what our company does. Not to mention the company she is referring to we haven't done business as in over a year.

That Nancy gets around!  We just got the same email.

It's a phishing email.  Do not open the attachment.  No telling what kind of malicious code is in it.  Delete it immediately.

We just received the exact same email!  We never had any contact or business with that Nancy Brown!

Just received the same email from Nancy.  I checked out the URL that her message came from and there is a message on their home page about no relation to the phone number or person.  Must be hitting a LOT of inboxes.  DO NOT open the attachment.  It asks you to enable editing and if you do I would guess Nancy's foul language will apply.

Its just spam people with a virus attachment.

The actual Ampersand Energy has a disclaimer on their website that they are not associated with any 949 numbers or Newport Beach http://ampersandenergy.com/

Just received the same email from nancy@ampersandenergy.com   I looked up www.ampersandenergy.com and they had they following warning posted on their website:

Notice of Fraudulent emails:
Ampersand Energy Partners and its group companies are not associated with any physical address in Newport Beach, California, nor are we associated with any phone numbers beginning with area code 949

My email ends with @sbcglobal.net.  It is a personal email.
The email from Nancy read:
Following our phone conversation I am forwarding you the payment confirmation invoice.
Please refund the total amount or be [***] in a Court of Justice.
What kind of company is sbcglobal.net?

I received the same email mentioned in the earlier posts at 11:20 CDT today. Nancy must really want some money. I think she can just go pound sand. The 949 number was flagged on another website as UNSAFE. Incidentally, we received a call from "Cumberland Energy" on an unattended phone in our office at about the same time that Nancy's email appeared. It may be coincidental, or not. Whatever, it didn't get answered.

You seriously opened the attachment?  Better check for viruses.
