calls weekly or more and does not leave a message. my wife answered and they asked for me by name but would not leave a message with her.

We have been getting calls from 949 and 323 area codes since January! a total of 11 in all.When the phone is answered they hang up! Only once about 2 weeks ago I answered on a phone with no called I.D the man asked for my husband I said he was not available he said he would call back. He did not. I have tried repeatedly to call the #'s back either no answer or busy. These people are in violation of the Do Not Call list! What I did  do I filed a complaint with the FTC the # is 1-877-382-4357 and also in the process of filing a complaint with the Attorney Generals office in California ( since all of the calls originate there) the web site is www.ag.ca.gov   The calls I am receiving are not from a collection agency, I know. They are a tele -marketer trying to sell stock or something. There is strength in numbers file complaints!!

A man called my cell from this number, would not identify himself, except that he was calling from CPI.  What is CPI?

I have gotton calls from CTI 949-752-2878, CTI 323-545-9527, CTI 323-545-9042 I answer and no one is there. I call back and do not get an answer. It happens daily, I am on the do not call list. I block the number then they call on another number. This is on my home phone, I do not have texting on my cell phone, so it is not coming from that. I do not have anything such as TVo or anything they could get from my computer of importance. How do you stop these calls, perhaps get an unlisted number which I  pay more for, and they will even find a way to call. What is the purpose of these phone calls? No one even talks. There should be more security on a plain phone line.

I do not even hear a voice from CTI. Perhaps it is some sort of spam breaking into your phone line. Enough is enough. Yes the more voices, the better chance we have to live a peaceful life.

I have zero debt so it is not debt collectors. It is not telemarkerters, or they would talk. What is going on with the phone system? Mostly, how does a person stop it? Do you program your home phone to ring from people you personally know? That is a sad day for Americia if that is what you have to do. Government should get involved.

Called at 8:50 pm on a Wednesday evening. Normally don't answer these types of calls, but I picked up without looking a Caller ID first thinking it was a friend or family member. Anyway, I answered and the other party disconnected. I have excellent credit and no overdue debt, so not a debt collector. Obviously no offer to sell, so not a telemarketer. WTF?
