Repeatedly calls with a mortgage refinance scam even after asking to be removed from the list.  Calls come from multiple numbers with the 949 area code.

Keep calling about my mortgage.  When I let them know my house is paid for, they ask about solar.  When I say no thank you, they start cussing and hang up.  Tried to call back for a supervisor...says the number is out of service.  Verizon said this is an FBI matter that is being taken care of.  I hope so.

    (949) 787-9898 keeps calling. They are very insistent. Mortgage refi offered.  I've asked to be removed from their list, but the heavily accented people keep calling back.

No one at this site is calling you.  Invest in a call blocker and do NOT pick  up on numbers you do not recognize.

Call blockers are a temporary fix at best, as these scum just keep changing numbers -  and besides, I don't want to run to the phone only to not pick up... THAT said - I ALWAYS pick up, and when it is someone violating the National Do-Not-Call Registry, it is GAME ON! I don't have a mortgage, but I talked to these folks for 5 minutes giving bogus info about the interest I pay, value of my house, term of my mortgage, etc., etc. These folks (sounds like a very busy call center somewhere offshore - Bangalor...?) are likely sales aggregators for banks or mortgage companies in the U.S., so when said banks/companies call, I'll string them along for as long as possible, giving more bogus info and wasting as much of their time as possible. Eventually, I'll let them know that they have been PUNKED because someone in their sale department has decided to use the illegally-operating aggregators to drive sales leads as a way of doing an end-run around the NDNCR. Takes some time, but, hey, grab a beer, have some fun and help fix the problem PERMANENTLY...

Way to go, but if you get an attorney, you can then get your beer $$ covered by the USA based banks and mortgage companies, who are also responsible for the caqll from Bangalor.
